If you are a driver of any vehicle, if someone sticks anything to your vehicle including repair grenades, there is a high random chance you will get disconnected. PC
I got disconnected on Emerald right now while being in a Vanguard. Last thing I remember is an explosive indicator falling on my tank from the skies (probably Light Assault C4). I had C4 sticked to the side of my tank by the enemy this game session but it didn't cause the disconnect. So it does seem to be random. But still it does occur rather often so that I can't enjoy playing on Emerald while on Miller I don't experience any disconnects at all.
Hello, This is happening for me and my harasser crew as well on both Emerald and Miller servers. The most common involves the Repair Sticky Grenade when repairing the harasser. I have experienced 2 other disconnection scenarios which I will include here as well. For how to reproduce reference: Friendly Repair Grenade interacting with Harasser - Scenario 1 Car crew Exits car. Driver, Gunner or passenger or passerby (doesn't have to come from harasser occupants) uses REPAIR STICKY GRENADE on car, DRIVER Re-Enters car, and DRIVER disconnects from game. I have posted this on reddit as well here. Enemy Anti-Personel Mines interacting with Harasser - Scenario 2 We, a harasser crew, performed a C4 delivery drive-by on an enemy Lightining and the enemy player (Driver) exited before his tank exploded. The enemy deployed Anti-Personnel Mines (probably in error) where his tank was deleted. As I, the harasser Driver, attempted to roadkill him, my game disconnected. My gunner reported that this happened as my car drove over the mines. Chat related Disconnection - Scenario 3 While flying a Liberator on Esamir, I messaged my friend Brawler and then applied afterburner + pitch + roll in my Liberator and my game disconnected. Thanks. fodollah / oberchingus
Many people the game chat are Having the same issue. There are reddit posts now about people crashing in their squad. I have been crashing several times a day. I don't know what the devs changed but they should just revert it back. Was it the windows 7 fix... Just roll it back and forget windows 7 if you have too. That OS has security problems now either way.
Disconnects can happen when you're in a vehicle, all the random causes mentioned here - rep grenades, c4, roadkills, chat are just coincidences, easy to test, see that it's wrong and not repeatable. Nobody really knows yet what exactly causes it.
I am not an expert. But it looks like the rendering of some new object or scenery is not cached. And every time the computer tries to render it, which loads the system and the system crashes. I encountered a similar problem in another game. Personally, my game just freezes permanently. As if the processor is loaded by 120% and refuses to process game files
I have started testing the use of the repair grenade insofar as to wait for the repair "shimmer" effect to cease before driving the car. I would like to have a decent test sample size before further commenting, but based on the handful of tests, it feels like the Repair Grenade behavior is a good place to start. Furthermore, If a solution cannot be found, I'd ask that the Harasser cost be reduced considerably. As we can no longer save a flipped car using the repair grenade trick from the back seat, it can be very frustrating when we can't get back to the fight in our preferred vehicle and playstyle, because we're constantly running out of nanites. This affects everyone, including members. Thank you for your attention in this matter. Feel free to contact me if you need help looking into this. I helped Bishop and BBurness on a few issues when I was part of the PS2 Community Roundtable in 2016 which was organized and maintained by RadarX.
