Didn't expect to see THAT up there

So tonight some of us NC were hanging out at Vanu Archives defending it. At one point I ran out of the spawn...and got insta-fragged.

By a Magrider.

In between the buildings on top of the Vanu Archives mesa.

There were two of them, actually. As far as we could tell, they weren't delivered off a Galaxy, they got up there on their own somehow, which should theoretically be impossible. So yeah, we /reported it.

Magburn and the Nitro boosts for the flash are both horribly buggy in that if you drive up to a wall and use them you drive UP the wall. How else do you think magriders can get into an amp station before the vehicle shields drop?

I've never actually seen a Mag get in an amp station before the shields drop (not that I realized, anyway). As an NC player, Mags annoy me a little bit because they're so hard to hit with their little Magrider Dance, but I never really wanted them nerfed. (Much.) But if they can do that...man, that's just BS.

Racer frame + magburn = inertia to glide up a 80 degree mountain wall, Its legit.

I recently encountered two magriders chilling on top of Skydock. It was um... interesting.

Well. That just takes the cake doesn't it.

That is VS special abilities in a nutshell.

90% of the time they are useless, if not detrimental.
10% of the time they are ******* awesome.

The Vanguard shield meanwhile is always pretty decent.

After seeing this video, I propose that the lockdown ability of the Prowler allow it to climb vertical surfaces and stick there like a spider if the pilot so chooses

I agree, and usually I'm of the opinion balance between the three factions (in terms of vehicles, weapons, etcetera) is mostly fine.

I've seen magriders get into places that only a flash could normally get into.

Hence, when one sees the maghorde, one leaves the continent.

Yep, first time I've seen it. Never seen a Mag in Vanu Archives or Scarred Mesa before. The VS on Mattherson love to roll Mags en masse (I mean, really en masse) but I've never seen one where it wasn't supposed to go, until now.

I am not sure but I think you cant do the same thing atm as in the video. I have tried but I dont use Racer Chassie, I use Rival Combat Chassie, but I do have Magburner and when I tried on a vertical incline simular to the one in the video I didn't move a inch upwards while using the Magburner, if its possible then I guess its cause of the Racer Chassie.

Oh I played quite a bit on Mattherson before I got tired of the TEST magrider horde.

I've seen things that have ensured that I will likely never go back to that server.
