"items you've purchased with StationCash will be available to all characters on your account that are eligible to use that item." So, if I bought every gun, camo, vehicle guns, etc.. from the SC store for my NC character, I interpret the above statement to mean that the equivalent faction item will be unlocked for my TR and VS toon as well? Am I right or does this mean that if I bought all this stuff for my NC toon they will ONLY be available for my account "NC" characters? (which makes no sense at all to me)
Your NC specific purchases (empire specific weapons or things like Vanguard weapons) will only carry over to other NC characters. Things that are considered "common pool" such as unlimited Camo will be available to all characters.
Is the Jackhammer available to all three factions? Nope. Is the Annihilator available to all three factions? Yep. A Jackhammer purchased with Station Cash will only be available to NC characters on your account. An Annihilator purchased with Station Cash will be available to characters of any faction on your account. Think of it as purchasing a specific item, not a certain type of item.
Since you're online Radar and I still haven't gotten a straight answer..... Infantry helmets????? As in if I buy the current infantry pack do I get it across all three races?????
Its sad that SOE is holding out, but such is the case. Give it awhile and they will improve their business model. Basically only camo and nanite systems SC unlock will be available on multiple accounts.
My understanding was that if there is any variation at all in the item, it wouldn't work. They'd need to have the same item ID. And the helmets wouldn't be the same ID.
So if you buy a lasher with $C for your VS HA it obviously can not be used on your NC or TR HA but if you have a VS character on another server then it can use your lasher. Common pool items are for any faction.
Not entirely terrible. Galaxy/Liberator/Lightning/Flash equipment should be common pool. As would NS-11 Rifle, Annihilator, Decimator, and Camo's. They didn't have to do this at all. But I think they're trying to incentivize creating toons with other empires without feeling like it's going to cost you an arm and a leg to buy *everything* over again.
What about MBT secondaries? The common pool weapons like Walker, Halberd, and Kobalt? Awesome to hear about the camo though
Honestly I don't think we will see much incentive from soe to roll multiple factions. 4th empire duchebaggery is already common enough as it stands with being able to roll three factions on the same server. Good question. Also what about sundy weapons? If you buy a bulldog and ranger for your vs engie will the nc and tr engie also gain access to them? Technically by the wording the answer would be yes but clarification would be welcome.
The underlined phrase in this equation seems to be "purchased with SC." Which my assumption seems to be that if I cert into the Lightning HEAT, AP, or HE cannon, I still won't be able to load it on my TR or VS characters. Only if I had unlocked them using SC would that be possible. Confirm/Deny
Seems to be the case. Using the lasher again as a reference if you cert into it for your vs ha then any new vs ha characters you create will not have access to them and if you delete the vs character with the certed weapons you lose them as well.
Ok, using an example of another poster, If I bought the Jackhammer for my NC character, it wont unlock the equivalent weapon (chaingun) for my TR toon, right? It will only unlock the same NC specific item if I choose to create another NC toon elsewhere. This makes no sense whatsoever to me. Why, if I have only 3 character slots would I choose to make more than 1 of the same faction?
Item is specific to that item not equivalent items on other factions. Why anyone would think different is beyond me. Sure we would all be happy if it worked that way. But SoE in no way ever stated account wide unlocks would grant two entirely different weapon that have entirely different names then the one you already purchased.
I have a vs on mattherson and miller so I can get into prime time pretty much any time of day I have time to play. A few outfits are multiserver and stay loyal to their faction so there are reasons to do it. If anything this will encourage faction loyalty especially if any certs you put into a weapon are carried over to a character you make on another server.
