Desync Issues (Things Floating/Warping Around)

    Hey,
Anyone else having desync issues? For me, everything starts floating around (infantry, vehicles, aircrafts etc) after a shot period of gameplay and the game becomes unplayable. My ping is shown to be anything from 2000 to 13000 during that time. This has made the game unplayable.

I have 4 MB/s down and 200KB/s up speeds which are very low, but are enough to play the game. I get about 170 ping to Cobalt and Miller when pinged through cmd. My PC meets the minimum requirements.
    Intel i3-3220 (3.30 Ghz)
AMD HD 6670 GDDR5 (Latest stable driver)
    4GB DDR3 (1666Mhz)
    Gigabyte GA-B75M-D3H (Latest BIOS version)
    Windows 8.1 x64
Also I play on my secondary monitor which is at 1366x768 so I don't really need a better GPU.

I tried a lot of fixes listed in the forums including turning off HyperThreading, turning off E1ST, turning off turbo boost, using bcd /setplatformclock true (or something like that), uninstalling unwanted applications, allowing PS2 on my firewall and even did a full reinstall of my Windows, but nothing fixes the warping.
    HELP!

PS: I made a new thread even-though there are other threads speaking about this desync issues because I didn't want to bump a 10 month old thread. And the issues mentioned in those threads seemed to be resolved after an update.

Sounds almost like the same symptoms I have ...
    VDSL 35/5
    AMD HD6700 1GB DDR5
    APU 3750K FM1
    2x4 GB Kingston CL10

I believe that Cobalt IP is 69.174.194.166 and pingtimes are fine - even during "desync" and hitching.
tracert 69.174.194.166 (some are not responding to ICM ping) but are way below 100 ms.

    DESYNC is the word.
Like some Auraxians are frozen and others are moving on the last known path - also up in midair and some are moving like theres no problem at all (can't say) - same goes for vehicles that bump around and reappear elsewhere just to tumble around in one direction - often in a slow motion kind of way. Shooting sounds are looping too but the background music goes on unaffected.

Sometimes theres a recovery from this limbo and the time spend in frozen state are caught up in 1 second - resolving damage and moving ppl around on the map to their actual positions. Left dead most of the time...
When dead and going in from the map section to deploy, I can't deploy !!! and I can't log out !!! - logout sequence is looping.

I did add alle files to firewall exeption and I have MS Essentials on no realtime scanning. Rebooted modem and router, ran all sorts of TCP/IP tests (using speedguide.net.) Deleted all 3 charcters to remake new ones on another server with the same error.. snif! BR57

I also get a feeling of desync is causing this. Feels like the Auraxis world is on one server and clients are on 3-5 others that are not synced somehow. I hear all sorts of ISP Level3 gossip - and I don't know what is going on with the "not responding" Ping during tracert. But I think it has something to do with the chosen route to the server - and back. Sometimes they change and everything seems fine for hours. Then something change to another route between you and the server with some timesync error...

Best guess based on 200 freeze experiences

Note: After the in-game announced playclient update yesterday evening, I have the same problems after the update.

I have the same problem on Miller. These issues seem, so far, not to be recognised by the dev team. See the floating players everywhere-thread.
  4. VinzNL

Same issue for me -- desync and disconnects, sometimes even within 1 minute of logging in. It has nothing to do with your internet speed (for me it is 180mbps down / 20 mbps up, should be enough!) but it looks as if the server itself is dropping packets/connections.

BTW i did not have this issue prior to the Oct 2 update, so i guess they broke some part of the (serverside?) netcode in that patch...

Are we all Dutch in this thread?

Anyhow, to PERHAPS FINALLY get this issue on the agenda of the dev team or server operator, yet one more image of the **** we're dealing with. Ladies and gentlemen, I present you 3 dry-humping lightnings shooting at imaginary snowbears whereas in the meantime a Sunrassertipede is healed by a flying engineer from a distance of approx 5 meters:

EDIT: May I add that stuff like this happens, all the time, everywhere, and also allows us who experience this to rack up kills we could never ever rack up (like shooting down ESF's with Comets because they appear to be stationary in the air to us). In other words, THE GAME IS UNPLAYABLE, because if we DO PLAY, we are, strictly speaking, EXPLOITING A BUG. Due to this, we are exposing ourselves, by simply playing our favorite game, to a TEMPORARY or PERMANENT BAN, as it is NOT ALWAYS CLEAR WHO IS AFFECTED or not.

Same here, Yesterday it was fine; after the patch from Today it messed up. 1200ms soe are you serious?
Congratulations Framerate hitching solved, but now wie have Ping hitching, GREAT!

Strange, my problems started in the evening after the 10/2 patch and haven't disappeared since. Moreover, I and other people with the same problem do have good ping (75 - 150).

    Also SHAMELESS BUMP.

Same problems here on Emerald... cannot even play for more than a few minutes without crashing although two weeks ago everything was awesome, could play for hours...

Currently, cannot do a damn thing in the game without tons of problems.

Would like to however take this time to again reiterate that two weeks ago, everything was awesome. <-- just for emphasis in the hopes someone actually walks away with some useful information from this. Lookin' your way SOE forum people.
  9. MAXArmar

I looked in older threads and back then it already was a re-occuring issue. No real fix was found back then. So I guess I will just find another game to play, perhaps you all should do the same.

this is really interesting... i don't know what to say.. game is broken.. completely.
  11. Bushmaster

Still the same after a few updates and ...
BF4 is getting more and more time from PS2 here.
I've sworn I'll pack and leave a few times now - such a shame. It's really a great game if it worked,,,

Did you try turning off VOIP? That was one of the fixes back then.
