Hey everyone! Just joined the club myself, though only been experiencing the desync for a fortnight now. Tried all the solutions that didn't involve editing the Bios, had no luck. I can't believe how old this thread is, I've seen so many features added since I started playing around 4 months ago. They really ought to focus less on the microtransactions, more on ensuring the game runs well on a broader set of systems. It annoys me that my MacBook Pro can still play Planetside (admittedly at 10 FPS in 128 player zones) but the budget PC I bought almost entirely for Planetside can't. Would love a fix for this, as I'm sure everyone here does. It's a shame, because until the desync I can't recall having more fun with an FPS. It's really one of a kind.
YES i have found a way to fix the dysync with gigabyte boards uninstall easy tune and run with razer game booster
Tried the above comment, Razer Game Booster solved the desync for a time, but alas. They've broken it once again with Today's patch. This is horrendous, I'm just about done with this game. They've had three quarters of a year to fix this, but instead every patch more and more players suffer. Wake up, SOE. Your game is dying. Those of us who can't play really don't care about Hossin or user generated content. It's be great if they could deliver on their advertising, but honestly at least publicise the problem instead if burying it. Could start by changing the steam requirements to inform people that their motherboard may be incompatible. If people knew just how broken this game is I doubt there would be swarms of new BR1s all over. Stop wasting money on advertising and focus on your existing player base. *****! Especially as there's already 20 minute queues on Miller EU. Not like it's short of a few players. And for the record, people will buy your Station Cash. Hell, I will too. But I won't until the game is stable, and that is likely an eternity away..
I had this issue but as soon as I uninstalled Comodo Firewall the problem disappeared completely. JFYI.
"The problem you're encountering is not a problem with your system per se, but some sort of compatibility issue that keeps cropping up with a few select players. While you may have seen a lot of people experiencing this, the number of people who encounter it compared to the number of people actually playing PlanetSide 2 is very small which is why you do not see it in the top known issues knowledgebase article." __________________ Statistically speaking, if half the players only log on for an hour a day, then they will still have the bug but not notice it.
Hey I found a fix! If you have a gigabyte motherboard, simply uninstall the utility EasyTune6 from your computer. Its a utility that came with the motherboard that monitors the cpu, cpu fan, and other junk. I uninstalled it, and i have been playing for 5 hours strait with no more lag or desyncing, while before it would take 5 to 10 minutes to notice the lag.
I have noticed since the last update the I can keep from desyncing by spotting enemies'. I have found that If I am somewhat inactive for a time is when the desync shows up most. If I notice it starting I just start spotting and it goes away. I hope this helps others. Please post back!
I thought I’d share my experience on wrestling with this bug in case it might help someone. So without further ado, my problem and all the tricks I tried: Symptoms of the issue: Desync – Everything is warping and flying all over the place Hits not registering These could occur any time between 5 minutes to 1 hour of gameplay My setup: OS: Windows 7 64-bit Motherboard: ASUS P8Z77-V Pro CPU: Intel 3770K GPU: MSI GTX660 TI What I tried and did not solve the problem: Downclocked CPU Disabled dynamicly changing clock rate for CPU Disabled all power saving options including Intel C-states. Setting “useplatformclock true” in BCDedit What solved the problem: Removing or disabling all the programs and services related to the ASUS mobo. In this case it was the ASUS AI Suite 2 and all its little plugins and background services. The problem here was that the uninstaller did not do a very good job and left multiple plugins and services on the system and I needed to remove and disable them manually. After uninstalling the AI Suite 2 and ALL of its plugins and services the bug stopped to occur. I have around 20 hours of gameplay and no sign of the bug so I’m fairly confident that it’s gone for good.
This issue recently started for me again. I will try a few of the fixes and let everyone know if any of them work.
I hear this is an issue primarily related to non-existent Intel multi-core CPU optimization: https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2...n-please-finally-get-it-under-control.166430/
Alright update, after using the bdcedit and removing Easytuner6 I have been able to play for 3 solid hours without any issue, putting it on highest graphical setting has no negative impact. Good advice all around. So I can confirm that certain clocking programs (most that most likely come with the motherboard) have a negative impact on syncing issues. Keep in mind that removing this program helped my game even though I was not overclocking at the time. My recommendation is doing it manually and uninstalling certain programs such as easytuner (or whatever your version may be) and using the bcdedit trick.
