[Suggestion] Deployed sunderer's and tank mines

    What would you think - instead - about a deployable "force field" that can protect from (you can choose) bullets, explosions, or create an invisibility bubble, deployable by engineers and working with any player/veichle inside the bubble.
    It will give you an option to protect your veichle (but also the infantry) without buffing/nerfing/unbalancing the veichles.

    What kind of logical? "Get this defensive upgrade or you're an idiot."? You have to CHOOSE. But meh, I agree, I think they should make Sunderers get a cert that blocks mine and C4 damage at the same time, they should also enable Engineers to carry their full explosives loadout at once then - 5 AT mines, 4 C4 and 3 proximity mines. Then I won't mind if Sunderers can do that.

    You killed them because no one paid attention. Look at the video in my signature - I have very very much more where that came from. Most of the time people are totally oblivious to you if you don't shoot them even if you're the wrong colors - yellow and purple near a TR sundy but no one cares? Yeah, it's clearly the problem that no one can react fast enough.

    I'll be all for it if they bring the deconstruction gun certs back.

    Better suggestion - mines don't detonate unless a vehicle nearby moves. Problem solved.

    Mines being able to be used as better C4 against vehicles is absurd and whoever designed them to work that way should be demoted to janitorial duty for at least two pay cycles. The current situation makes mine guard virtually a required certification. I'd much rather see mines returned to what they were in PlanetSide 1. Their current form is a joke.

    Won't fix anything. I'll just shoot or sticky grenade them. They'll still go boom.

    Make it so that they don't explode from friendly fire? There's a lot of things they can do. Mines weren't abused in this fashion in PlanetSide 1.

    Already discussed a gazillion of times:
    a) it just takes one grenade/two bullets to detonate an AT mine
    b) people would just use c4 instead of mines
    c) whats the problem with PROXIMITY mines?
    d) if an engie is able to get to a veichle, he should be able to destroy it, does it matter how?

    Me too, i liked CE in ps1 better than mines in ps2, however i doubt SOE will bring it back, we have to work (play) with what we have.
    I am afraid we will never have real minefields in ps2.

    How about they do something along the lines of you give up the guns on the Sundy in return for a small dome like shield that enemy infantry can't enter but can shoot into? Their could be another variant which is a cloak shield like infiltrator effect ..

    Cause minefields were possible in PS1 but are detrimental to the dev's desired gameplay here. If this use goes mines will largely, but not completely vanish. Just have the odd bridge or vehicle pad mined.

    Could just make them not explode until the vehicle actually MOVES, then add the ability to disarm tank mines for engineers.

    There is a simple solution to all your woes.... shoot the engineer.... And dont leave your sunderer unguarded, youll be asking for it.

    Then why have them at all , geez they are made to kill tanks what do you expect on lightly armoured vehicles I expect Boom , learn to defend your sundee

    We can already disarm mines.
    You want to turn proximity mines into ww2 mines.
    Not everyone will agree.

    Cause they are still really useful it just seems silly they are so effective against a still vehicle which the forces people to cert in such a way that makes sundies to weak just to cover a corner case.

    Did you miss the point where people can shoot or grenade them to set them off?

    understandable, however we have C4 for this very purpose.. the minds should not serve the same purpose with a few limitations
