[Suggestion] Deployed sunderer's and tank mines

    Plus 2 c4 can't take out a vanilla sunderer, so you don't even know what you are complaining about.

    No I have fully cert'd C4, mines and 3-4 notches into blockade armour and mines guard, I've killed dozens of sundies with mine and c4 so I know exactly what both sides of coin looks like.. If I just wanna farm xp ill go medic or doltan gunner.

    I just feel that if you deploy a Sundy it should be somewhat tanky which would improve overal gameplay.

    Btw light assault can solo a Sundy with 2 c4 and trac 5s I've done it a few times..

    Then he needs to put it on his sunderer and quit whining about c4ing grenade launcher LAs. One guy wants to make a special mobile army station that one guy isn't allowed to take out somehow?

    Screw that.

    It would make gameplay worse. It already hard enough to defend and push attackers away as it is, we don't need super defensive sundies making it even harder.

    Ok i see your point of view, but what you really need is competent gunners.
    If im running mineguard i make sure my gunners are focusing on HA and veichles, who cares if an engie is getting close to the sundy; if i have blockade armor i get bulldogs and make sure they focus on the closest target.

    I'd be okay with that, as long as they included a very specific weak point on the sundy that if you properly place one brick of C4 there, then kaboom. It can be a relatively small space.

    If I can run up, place a brick of C4 on one particular area on your sundy without you stopping me, you deserve to lose it.

    Then you'd have a lot of engineers making tough choices between C4 and tank mines.

    Your confusing this thinking its about farming XP I'm coming at this from a overall gameplay / meta perspective I strongerly feel if sundies where more survivable base attacking and defending would be more fun for everyone.

    See i understand but i cant agree... a well parked sundy with gunners and mineguard is a freaking fortress, you want to make it even stronger?
    All you need is a decent crew, not just 2 afk gunners.
    Bind them to the guns if needed.

    Well if you're going to view it that way, then Sundys should be a LOT more expensive. As it is right now, when I see large groups rolling around, I see like eight sundys all at (1/12). If they're all super-fortified, there's no repulsing that.

    It can be but it's only massively vulnerable to "cheap" attack it's so easy to walk upto these things or get hot dropped near drop 3 times and take it out in 2-3 seconds.. The time to kill is long enough that its easy to drop the mines and once they are down even if you kill the engineer there is nothing you can do no ability to disarm you have to watch it die...

    One thing I've done is place a squad beacon near by spawn hot drop nearby and drop mines there is literally nothing you can do to stop this..

    If it takes a coordinated defence to guard a Sundy it should take a coordinated attack to kill it not a one man lone wolf sucicide rush.

    Yeah i dont like spawn beacons but then again its not a sundy problem.
    You keep complaining its too fast to take out a sundy... i keep answering: get mineguard, and focus on HAs and LAs, it will take an army to take out your sundy.
    Also... did you max your engie tool and your flak armor? Because that helps A LOT, you can hop down, repair, survive (thats crucial) and hop on again, if you do it right your sundy will never drop below 50% health.
    Tell your gunners to NOT repair, they need to focus on returning fire.

    I definitely agree but until we get another land transport vehicle thy wont be able to do that.

    The TTK in this game is LESS than one second (by one person with infantry weaponry). It is NOT enough time to kill a Sunderer unless people shooting you are missing and/or they don't notice you.

    It takes less than 0.5 seconds to kill a person at 10 meters with the Serpent (VS Carbine).

    Same tactic works with c4 as well which is why I think the defensive cert should be effective against those 2 items (c4 and mines)

    I've managed to kill like 50+ sundies like this a lot of them heavily defended in the middle of Zerg fights, people just can't react fast enough to stop you dropping the mines..

    Thats why you tell your gunners to kill everyone that is FLYING.
    What you really want is an anti-xplosive armor... which isnt a dumb idea, but then again is it really needed?
