[Suggestion] Decoy Trap

So, here's the premise. A deployable holo emitter that projects a low-health enemy soldier of a random class asking for ammo every few seconds. The holo soldier uses the Infiltrator's name, but not the outfit or title. Each Empire will only see a member of their own Empire (not sure if that's possible). Holograms won't show up on the minimap, so alert/suspicious enemies will know what's what.

Sorry if I'm being dim witted but can you clarify:
If I play VS will the decoy be VS and is the idea to lure enemy TR and NC to the decoy by their hearing the VS voice?
  3. Dasparian

Assuming you play VS, TR will see TR, NC will see NC. The idea is to lure enemy support soldiers into lowering their guard, or give single enemies a false sense of security.

Sounds like a waste of dev time just so ****** solo infils can get a cheap kill.

I dunno, I feel it has greater tactical significance over AP mines...but to each their own, I suppose.

If your goal is to trap idiots.

Seems to go well with the theme of the class.

It's kind of a cool idea.

Fairly situational, but I do like the idea of having 'bait' for a well placed ambush!

    Was this your inspiration?

Ah OK thanks. I think the lure of the enemy could be a fun idea but it sounds too limited if the holo doesn't show on the mini map for the enemy (or perhaps I misunderstood that bit..)

I think holo should show for enemy perhaps something like:
    - if you are enemy Medik you see friendly "Need hea"l icon
    - if you are enemy Engie you see friendly "Need repair" icon
    - else you see ammo icon..?

Actually whilst writting above I've thought of something else...
How about a new type of decoy mine "Decoy Ammo AP Mine".
It looks and glows like an ammo pack and appears on the mini map as an ammo pack but is really an AP mine.
To keep game-play balance it would perhaps only last 2 minutes (similar to real ammo pack) and would kill friendlies hence you'd have to be careful where you placed them. What do we think..?
