Stupid thread is stupid. If the servers were packed during the time of day that most people are at work or school, then there'd be massive queue problems during prime time.

Just logged on for an hour or so and killed maybe 5 dudes because there's nobody to shoot at. Happens all the time and it's really bumming me out.
  3. omega4

It's because "Forumside" is actually more entertaining than playing "Planetside 2".

At least for the moment, anyway.

    I agree with OP

the air and ground vehicle zerg is becoming an issue to the point that people are actively avoiding them.

just last night nc had 14 libs, 18 reavers, 12 vanguards, 7 lightnings at freyer amp station. we had even numbers of vanu on the map but nobody wanted to go near that zerg. the second you got near it you were dusted instantly whether on foot, in a tank or in the air.

we even tried to bring in 10 scythes at once. they were no match to the sheer number of reavers.

skill has very little to do with this game in such a situation and this situation is becoming a nearly 24/7 occurrence on jaeger now.

    This is a non-issue.
  8. omega4

After the most recent patch, PS2 is no longer about skill.

PS2 is now about winning by fielding the greatest numbers of EVERYTHING (tanks, aircraft, soldiers, etc.).
  9. AbrohanLincoln

You're bad for choosing NC, Kenny.

Global imbalance + continent imbalance + localized imbalanced = contributes to nobody playing defense. You either grossly outnumber the enemy or the enemy grossly outnumbers you. This is why we need the PS1 cloaked AMS, PS1 style mines, PS1 spitfires, and PS1 motion detectors.
  11. Quickscope

meanwhile at SOE head quarters they are adding copy and past guns with HIGHER VELOCITY FOR SEVEN DOLLARS LLOOLOLOLOL O.

    clueless company is clueless

Why are there still posts going on about this?

Planetside 1 which was not free to play started out the same way.

Shut up and let these guys do their damn jobs instead of flooding the servers with these stupid posts trying to sound high and mighty because you know something that everyone else knows.
  13. Zxypher

    Wait, do I know you?
  14. omega4

    Perhaps. Perhaps not.

I bet you there will be at least ONE person who pays $7 for this gun.
  15. Protection

I think that SOE had hoped PS2 would be more successful than PS1, and there's some legitimate concern it may be less so.

Talking about mergers is the first step to making them happen, and if it saves the game, then it was a worthwhile conversation.
  16. SenorBeef

If I may say, the moderation policy of merging multi-page threads is terrible. It makes the thread really hard to stay up with and read. I wonder sometimes if they do it in the hopes of killing them.

Oh well, let's keep the new one going. I appreciate that I'm still the OP, since I took time to write out a comprehensive post and didn't just say WTF POPULATION !!///??
  17. Wibin

Us talking about it does nothing but waste time and data.

They know the issues going on.

While developers dont always do the things we think they should be, we must also understand that they are not going to blow a couple thousand a month keeping a server up with no population on it.
  18. Wibin

There are lots of useless threads on here that are posted 10+ times with in the span of the first 3 or 4 forum pages of that part of the forum.
  19. omega4

I have my suspicions on this myself.
  20. SenorBeef

I know I can't just say "have you been reading this thread" because of the merge maybe you haven't read the right thread, but no server ever hits high under the current system. And there are 8 US servers that never hit medium.

The issue isn't "let's make the game very high at all times", it's "let's get the populaton density so high that we're near full in primetime, and so then we'd at least have some activity non-primetime"

Basically, what we have now is during primetime half the servers hit the lower end of medium, and half stay at low. Then non-primetime, half the servers have a few scattered battles and half the servers have no activity at all.

The game is nowhere near being filled up during primetime, and the game is a completel ghost town on half the servers outside of primetime. We could triple the population easily on most servers during prime time and not come up against a queue.
