technically they are just different and it's not that one is better... that said I would pick the Cyclone if given a choice.
Blitz is the same as the other gen 2 SMG's which are good but not unique. The Cyclone is the best SMG in the game by a huge margin.
Well, the Cyclone has slightly better TTK (and even better headshot TTK), and it has great accuracy for an SMG. The Blitz has a larger magazine by default, so you don't have to decide between extended mags and the advanced laser sight (just run ALS). Thanks to its faster RoF, it may be easier to use if you're a spray-and-pray type of player. Most people consider the Cyclone to be the best SMG in the game.
Just got the cyclone today, I enjoy it a lot. More range than you would expect for an smg, and has great kill potential in short range.
i like the cyclone for the extra damage/range the blitz is my favo for the firerate and big mag you need to be a bit closers to your enemy but it kills faster
Blitz for me, it works like a TR weapon, farting so many bullets that you can just wave it in the direction of your enemy
I rememberr when the 2nd Gen SMGs came out. Everyone was saying they were all a direct upgrade over first gen. Now people have learned that magazine size isn't as strong as they first thought it was. The Cyclone is very powerful but only if you can land those shots, or else you will run your magazine dry mid fight. The Blitz is for people who like to waggle their guns like a Wii controller to get kills.
Or switch factions and pick up the armistice, AKA the best SMG in the game. As a TR player I fooled around with the Cyclone and Blitz. I liked the Blitz more for that larger mag size. You might not think it does, but you actual go through that large magazine very quickly. plus you have more kills per reload on top of it. The Cyclone is more of a "assassination" weapon. pop out of cloak, gun a fool down, then hope you can reload before someone can find you. The blitz you can actually take down two or even three people at a time if you flank them and they're not paying attention. Laser sight on both. If you grab extended mags for the Cyclone you would have been better off with the blitz. Soft point is a no brainier. and I actually prefer to skip the suppressor. Your cloak will take you off the mini map so you don't need a suppressor reducing the effect of you SPA.
ok, ill Give you a quick description of each- Cyclone- Low TTK, Low mag size. Blitz- High Mag size, enough to drop 3-4 enemies in a clip. Longer TTK. Given the Hit and run style of an infil, I would choose cyclone. If your going to use it on HA, Blitz so that you can take on multiple enemies at once.
Cyclone will require you to pace your shots and aim more carefully. If you're good at this you will kill faster with it than the Blitz. I've not used the Blitz but it seems more or less identical to the Vanu's Sirius. Big mag, fast fire rate... pretty much the easiest CQ weapon to use in the game.
