Since the last patch my game regularly freezes (alt + tab fixes it) or crashes during play. When I do a rocket pod run in an ESF I have about 80% chance that my game will crash. It also happens that the game will crash 2-3 times while loading (before character selection) before finally starting. Is this a known issue? Any solutions? Nothing has changed to my computer.
Yes. And it has been reported in the Bugs Forum. You are not the only one. We know it. It is unclear if the DEVs know it or not. No solutions as far as I can tell. There was an optional MS window's fix so I downloaded it. I haven't been back into PS2 to see if it helps any not/. I'll try to remember to check back once I check it out. I also will say that it is most definitely a PS2 issue. I am not having problems with DC Universe Online or Dragon's Prophet.
There was an optional Microsoft Update when I checked last night. I loaded it, auto restart, shutdown, loaded games, restarted. I have only had a limited time for testing, but I did not crash tonight.
There will be a "hotfix" tomorrow (9/5/2014). This is suppose to fix the client crashing issues.
