I crashed 3 times last night while playing over the course of 3 hours. It happened in a tank, in an aircraft, and while walking on the ground. Amerish twice, and Indar once. Once during a big battle, once during a medium battle, and once during no battle.

I've been crashing other times too, around the same amount: around once per hour and a half. I haven't seen 2 hours or loner when I hold tab to bring up the scoreboard in around a week. Is there any log for me to check when I crash, to find the crash reason or crash dump?

Also I had a problem where both my monitors would go black. I could still hear people on teamspeak, but ALT+TABing, CTRL+ALT+DEL, and WINDOWS+D keyboard commands didn't do anything, so I had to hit the computer reset button. It happened once last night. This has happened 4 or 5 times in the last week, and is very unsettling as I haven't had anything cause a full computer lock up like this since I started using Windows 8 over a year ago.

Just crashed again at 1 hour a 45 minute mark. Got blown up by tank mines in a Vanguard and then it went to desktop.

Friend just crashed to desktop within 5 minutes of logging in, which sucks cause we just grabbed vehicles.

have you overclocked your cpu, gpu or ram at all?

From my experience, as well as the crashing if your having times when the screen goes black and you can still hear audio, then these have been common causes:
    1. unstable overclock - if you have any overclocks, drop them back to stock
    2. another program - I recently found that using hwinfo + afterburner at the same time for OSD crashes my PS2 all the time. Try closing as many other programs as possible
    3. GPU drivers - uninstall/re-install them
    4. Insufficient power - make sure your system is using a PSU that can deliver enough power
    5. overheating - run a monitoring program (like hwinfo) and check what temps your cpu and gpu are reaching

are you sure your ram is correct?
    668Mhz x 2 = 1336Mhz effective. Neither of those ram speeds are supported by intel. (1066, 1333, 1600, 1866, 2133, 2400, 2666)
At 999-24 I would say you have 1600Mhz kit which would equal 800Mhz per stick.

I'm crashing too. Latest beta AMD driver. Screen freeze, then exits without error message. Only thing I have installed is Steam. Crashing started soon after the 64 bit patch.

I was not able to find a correlation between these issues. At the moment, we have some really low queues so I will need everyone to submit in a support ticket so we can figure out why you're crashing.

Thanks. I followed that help, but it still crashed. I did submit a support ticket, and hope they can help me. The only thing I'm uncertain about is background programs. I disabled all the programs I could but I still get a crash after a long duration of gameplay. I also updated to Beta GPU drivers.

Is there a location for crash logs? I checked the logs right after I crashed, but I crashed at 11:00PM and the logs in the log folder weren't updated since 9:40PM.

I used a program called Speccy to get my hardware info.

I run a AMD 290X and have crashed a few times from the April 2nd patch. Once that patch was reversed I have not had any crashes or freezes. I played many hours yesterday and had one freeze where I had sound but the display was frozen for about 30 seconds but it corrected it self, so an almost crash ...lol. I am running the latest AMD driver 14.3. This system has been running this game very well with nice FPS on Ultra settings.

Go into bios and manually set ram speed and timings. Check your manual if you're unsure how to do it.
If you have lost your manual then you can find it online from the manufactures website.

What's that got to do with it?

Any time you crash from a tank blowing you up... that is a video driver issue.
    1. You ran out of memory....!
    2. Or the explosion uses code that your driver does not support.

I am also crashing much more than usual. The problems started around the end of March. I will make sure to send in a bug report next time it happens.

I also noticed another issue. The screen basically freezes and updates once every ~8 seconds. After about 30 seconds everything goes back to normal.

He's ram is clearly set up incorrectly or the program he is using is rubbish. So I'm eliminating the easy target.
Every time I have BSOD, or had a serious crash it's because of RAM.
    You got a better idea?

Mine's been doing the same since yesterday, except it's closer to 3 times in 15 minutes. That was using the Nvidia 335 driver. I rolled back to 332.21 earlier, and it did the same thing. I'm having Steam verify local cache and fix the 300+ files that had errors, hopefully that will resolve things. This PS2 install is only a week old.
