Could we maybe do something about the cheater?

I mean I'm not sure how hard it would be to make a system that checks if a player has a kdr and kpm above 300 and autobans them. Realistically it's almost impossible for even the most skilled players to keep a kpm above 15 for over an hour, and kdr around 7-8 is already really good. And that's from back when before they lowered the skill cieling and pop has gone down. I'm pretty sure this dude with his 390kdr and idek how much kpm stands out from the crowd.

Also how hard is it to implement collision detection? It's not like you should be able to go through walls and terrain in general but maybe we could autoban people who don't respect the game's physics engine? I'm sure that would also help stop the godmode shotgun engineer flying around at 3000miles an hour ignoring any obstacle in his path. Or the aimbot mana turret parked inside a rock mowing down everything.

The statistics autoban was already made years ago, they just scrapped it cuz I guess changing the parameters from 2kd to 200 was too hard? Maybe we could bring it bakc and just tune it. I'm sure you could find a guy on fiver or something that can do it for a few bucks if you can't find it or re implement it yourselves.

Wild that you've let the same dude continue cheating for months now lol. Using the same cheats from like since launch btw.

i love this idea, genuinely an easy way to get cheaters from the blatant hacking.
i think itd be easy to get past a simple anticheat like that though, by killing themselves (or allowing themselves to be killed) every 20-30 kills or less depending on given the hardcap before auto ban. which might be why they might consider it not worth the time/effort of trying to implement that.

collision detection would be a good way to fix some of the problem, but again, a hacker can simply not collide with things-
lots of open air and whatnot. speed detection would probably be easier to implement while also reducing a cheater's effectiveness i think, but again, they could just not teleport-
there are quite a few people who just don't take dmg nowadays, apart from simple hit reg, im talking whole squads firing at a stationary dude just standing there.
im no coder, but i imagine its hard to detect that from simple connection issues, and it would suck for players to get banned cus they had a temporary connection problem.

easiest way would be to auto ban if it sees someone moving at warp speeds, that would take care of speed hacks, and to take care of aimbotting, you just need to analyze the way the aimbot works and put false flags in the game, if it measure and looks for headbox size than puts rocks that mimic that exact size and shape under the ground, the aimbot wont care that it cant see it and will likley snap to it, as for collision best way to do that would be to use a counter, collison once and a while is okay and possible with lag and what not but if it detects hunderds of breaking of collison over time that would be a way to snipe that out,you know the game has units of speed measurement that can generally not be exceeded so if someone goes from the top of the map to the bottom in 2 seconds without respawning should not be that hard to detect would be the way i would target catching speed hackers, put it all together and change it over time as the hackers obviously identify and cicumvent it, and you would have a more effect anticheat than battleye at this time.

At this point i wouldn't even mind if they flat out just took away the MANA turret entirely. Yes the other cheats suck too, but its the MANA turret cheat that literally kills fights all over the map.

How would that work. Cheaters can just use normal weapons too and the magic bullet hack works with every gun.

At this point just hire the hacker that develops cheats for this game to develop an anti cheat

should i feel honored that i got selected to be impersonated by this hacker?

tonight, i get on my NSO on Emerald, XRok32, i start playing as normal, just started an alert on Indar, im on TR... then about a half hour in, and i'm killed by a BR 4 NC, Xr0k32, under the map. he appeared to be actively chasing me as i would switch fights on the TR/VS front, but ignored when i fought the NC towards the end, probably prioritizing the two enemy sides and sheer bodies to kill over me specifically.

not sure what i did to earn this, but hopefully whoever's handling the reports is able to distinguish the false reports on a 12+yo upstanding account vs whatever this goofball is doing.

From my experience its only the turret hack that gets hundreds of kills in a matter of minutes. Maybe i was just lucky enough to only run into that particular hack

The anti-cheat system is fundamentally flawed, as it does not detect certain alterations that allow client-side-based cheaters to go on a rampage on the live server. It will forever be a game of whack-a-mole, and a waste of dev resources.

    1) The ways to address this is to have an anti-cheat threshold, such as getting 400+ kills in an hour with less than 10 deaths, would automatically trigger a suspension pending review. A hacker that's limited to 400 kills per hour, is already a huge win for the community.

    2) Or to test having limited community moderators, that have a /suspend player command. HOWEVER, to prevent, abuse, the moderator must have video evidence of the cheating first. It would be limited to severe cheating like flying/killing hundreds from under the floor, etc. Not 'that kill on me seemed sus'. Otherwise the moderator themselves can get punished.

The 2 methods listed above are arguably simple methods to significantly reduce the amount of players affected by hackers.

As for you xrok32, i did the video report to ban that hacker with a similar name. I figured you were innocent, and didn't include you. I always copy and paste the exact hacker name when I do my reports, to prevent a mistake.

Might I recommend, “Enjoy the silence” by Depeche Mode.
  12. SassySaddles

its been 15 days, cheater is still cheating in miller daily
  13. DLL2

it is only ban by its address mail it was enough to remake another account to continue to cheat
