Maybe as the applicator's right click and limited to 10m, but it would be awesome if we could drag a body behind cover so he doesn't get rezzed in the line of fire. This was mentioned in another thread but I thought it was good enough idea to have it's own.
Would be a good secondary ability for the rez gun to have a gravity gun ability from halflife 2 (only the pull). Takes too long and is too insignificant. Instead why not have special ammo that disintegrates the corpse and prevents it from being rezzed as a result?
Or just combining all of the above and have a gravity gun you can throw dead enemy bodies around and celebrate with.
Because 90% of the Rezzwh***s would cry foul, and the rest of the population with them. I certainly would if the enemy would be able to deny my team to be able to revive me.
Adding a cert level (7th?) for 2000 certs, which would res people at 150% hp and 100% shield (hp would deteriorate to 100% in 1-2 minutes), would be better.
It's a good idea, and I can't think of any immediate ways that you could grief with it (more so then the current system). Since you could only drag the body towards you, it would be difficult to put the body into a worse location then where it fell. If the gun overheated after 5 seconds, it would be also tedious to try and drag the body all over the map. It would definitely make more sense then rezzing someone where they fell, only to have them die again right away.
Good idea, however, every attempt at executing this that I've seen has been horrible in practice. I don't think the revive system is "broken" or bad enough to really facilitate this sort of mechanic anyway. Both medics and those being revived should be a little more in tune with the idea of making a judgement over whether or not to revive or be revived whilst in the line of fire. As much as I love having revival mechanics in a game it tends to lead to xp happy people to rushing out to get pointless revives just because they're rewarded a little xp for it. The idea of using your weapon and staying vigilant in order to clear immediate danger first gets pushed to the back.
It's funny because this is actually a relevant concern to rl paramedics. Scene safety is first and it isn't always easy to keep that in mind (for a different reason than exp obviously).
Corpse Drag, you think this is EQ? but i guess this could be handy and realistic in some ways to get an injured person behind cover.
