I usually use Zoe when I am in extremely close range. However, I find myself in front of most of my enemy, and I wish I could just go ape **** on them. I was thinking that Zoe could also reduce the delay between max punches. Maybe max level reduces delay by half. Zoe is cool now (I guess), I just wish I could go from this To this:
I would enjoy seeing a VS Max go around punching down entire squads of NC and TR. It would be very... satisfying?
I was actually thinking about something like this in humor. Realistically, I don't think it's going to work without speeding up MAX punch rate or making punches OHKO, however.
To be fair, Zoe gives a good forward speed; in CQC, it is very easy to close the distance. It makes sense that Zoe would give a max punch delay decrease since more likely than not the target will end up in punching range. If the Zoe gives a speed buff, it makes sense that it can punch a faster. Yeah sure. I have the Orion, Vulcan-H, and scattermaxes. If you have a specific drug you want, I may be able to get it. Call me at 555-QWOP. That's 555-QWOP. Like I said above, it very easy to close the distance with Zoe. I doubt it could punch down an entire squad unless it is already able to.
Considering how ZOE works now, it sounds like a good idea to me. And it shouldn't be hard to implement, so we could actually get this.
I'm confused. I was suggesting that ZOE decreases the delay between max punch. Decreases the delay between punches would increase the rate of punches. Or were you talking about the swing speed of the punch?
How to fix ZOE: Remove the damage drop rate they added Lower damage income increase by an additional 3% each rank Make it possible to be prematurely turned off Increase duration by an additional 5 seconds/rank Make turning it off drain it completely, needs to fully recharge to be able to reactivate This will: Make spamming impossible Make it worthwhile to use as an ability You wont turn it on, say **** the second you see more than 3 people.
thats certainly an improvement, i'd say making it good but not OP is fairly easy. flat damage increase at all ranges (based on rank), keep speed buff, remove incoming damage penalty. keep the cooldown idea, that'd make it at a point similar to how it was in its glory days, but not OP. also the can fix the 1000 Aegis bugs while they're at it!
Don't even mind that the dmg bonus is only short range, what's absurd is REDUCED damage past 20m. That's just flat out inane. Why so many NERFS? If it could be toggled off, I daresay even the armor penalty might not be so bad either. Keep the require full recharge from empty, but ending it early should be allowed IMO (draining any remaining energy as suggested) In addition to NOT doing LESS damage past 20m and being able to toggle it off, I think a small reduction in delay between melee swings is appropriate, and would be hard to consider OP, but would fit well with the overall design of the thing.
totally agree, an ability that increases damage taken and reduces damage delt, who the hell do they hire that makes such balance decisions? XD
