[BUG] constant crashes

was really weird, i was in the middle of a huge battle, i log off and go for dinner, i come back and there are empty tanks all over the place, some still with turrets facing one another, often with one on fire or something.i check the map and the the pop is literally 0, a few hex with 1-12 but thats it, i was like WOW

might be a server reset aka ninja fix ?

In three attempts to play, within a minute, I've had two crashes and one freeze-up that forced me to kill the process so far.

Same here. Seven or eight crashes in less than one hour.

Must be one of the creepiest things one would experience in PS2,..

Crashing every 5 min. WTF don't this lot test the patches before deploying them or is change management a new thing to them .....

People were crashing constantly on the Test Server as well, DBG ignored and I guess hoped it would just go away.

3 crashes in 45 minutes. I'm glad I pay them money for this.

Lmao at people posting here their pc specs and expecting help. Can't you read and don't you understand that EVERYONE experiences crashes, because patch is fcked up and we have to wait for hotfix.

well, i played LA for an hour 2 times.. it startet to crash as i spawned the first time in an sunderer. after 5 crashes i played as LA again 2 hours without crash... Since i spawned again in an sundy, it repeats to start all over again.. Vehicles itself could cause thisa problem? (driving in an tank crashes me too)

I've crashed so many times today I've lost count...this patch is entirely unplayable so why the heck did it go live?

I think i might found a fix, or at least temporarly.

For those using nvidia cards,
try setting threaded optimization in nvidia control panel or inspector
for planetside 2 profile to ON (default = auto)

For AMD ,
i'll bet there's a simillar setting like the one above

While i'm not 100% sure it works, (might be coincidence) but i have played for at least an hour without crashes.
While before setting this to on, i couldn't play for 5min or it would crash/freeze.
(and i tried multiple times, maybe 10min max. before crash)

I start the game once with this change ,.... +1 hour gameplay.....
It's worth the try.

It's been crashing a lot less since the 50MB patch, had one in 30 minutes, but now I'm experiencing extreme choppiness and CPU usage that's consistently around 99%. I play with pretty minimal graphics settings.
