    That didn't save PS1.

    F2P didn't save it either.

I met a guy named Tyrannes (it was a new acc, he said he had 2 lvl 100 accounts and he had 3k directive points but I don't know what the other accounts are.) who told me he would always teamkill friendly sunderers that he didn't like. I had been killed by him while bombing the enemy with a fury in a sundy by their spawn. It was our only sunderer in the hex in a 48-96 fight, and because of his griefing, the enemy was able to recapture the facility and move to the next base. People like this should be banned.

I beg to differ. Lack of marketing and continued game developments is what ruins that game. Even though it's still populated.

Everquest 1 seemed to do fine with Ragefire and Lockjaw (vanilla progression servers). You needed membership to get on them and when they launched, both had queues (5,000 player cap each, which sorta blew PS2's server record of 1100 out of the water). EQ2 did something similar.

Maybe thats what PS2 needs. A new server, premium only, limited cash shop (cosmetics only), everyone starts from scratch. I'd play on it.

Nowdays there is too much of competition in MMO industry. People have way wider choise of MMOs now. Recent Pay 2 Play games have failed miserably and turned to Free 2 Play. It might work with nostalgia games like EQ and stuff. But it won't work with PS2, this game was designed to be F2P from very beginning to have massive combats with free players as cannon fodder.

And I won't go to "priveleged" servers... I have spent pretty amount of real money for my current characters.

Oh and I just can't buy subscription anymore cuz as it happens my game account doesn't even belong to SOE/DBG/Pro7siben. :D

10,000 players on 2 servers and heaven's knows how many waiting in a queue at one time is quite a bit for nostalgia. I'm asking around and it seems that some would actually like the idea. It was actually suggested that some of the freebie servers would actually lose people to the premium causing less fights and causing those people to sub up and want to play on the new server as well. In the end, it could save DB money on server costs as they could merge the freebie servers and get cash from the premium one.

As for your issue with the account, you could simply make a new one. The server would have you start over anyway.

Would you refund me the cash I spent?
  9. Taemien

    Why?

The cash I spent wouldn't be refunded either. Everything I bought wouldn't carry over. Just like on the EQ1 progression server I couldn't use my previous market purchases, couldn't even use my veteran awards.

How about a rating tool for players

You can up/down vote a players behavior and when it goes under a specific ratio of down-votes your Account is on the GM watchlist

I know this would most probably be heavily abused by some but overall i think it could work out

So you would also get a rating for most loved/hated player in PS2

With this there would be a kind of playerbased selfcontrol that is much more efficient than the /report Harassment feature
and it would be visible to anyone so you would know if you just got killed by a Knight in shining armor or a simple douch

Then why in the world I have to buy everything anew while I have all my stuff I need already? I'm not gonna grind it again. And I'm not gonna buy cosmetics again.

As I said, it's impossible NOT to TK once in a while in such a densely populated game. But I don't intentionally TK people, unless they try to harm me on purpose for no reason. Even then I let many of them "slide"...

And it's not about the percentage of how many times you've been TKed on purpose. One or two intentional TKs per day is more than enough to make your game experience miserable. I haven't logged in all day yesterday for instance, because I am fed up with it.
  14. xSalt

I've said it before but I'm gonna say it again. Make grief account wide instead of character specific. That way people can't just log an alt and tk till locked, then log back to there main. Wouldn't fix everything, but would help and not punish the accidental tk.
