Connery vs Waterson

Despite being BR49 on Waterson, I'm considering going to Connery and starting over. Because, there's very little action on Waterson at night / early morning.

It seems that Connery has significantly more population, at all hours.


Is that correct?

Is there any reason not to switch?
i.e., will Waterson probably be merged soon? Will connery lose it's pop? etc.

Your best bet though is to just make a char and hop over for a while .. No experience better than your own to judge things by ..

Not going to cost you anything but time.

Connery is more populated by orders of magnitude more players... prime times Waterson is a 1 continent fight, Connery is 2 and a half >.>
If your not having a decent enough time, switch, your only BR49

I wouldn't go NC on Connery, With the 4th faction jumping to NC we've often been 5-10% higher or more than the other two factions. And TR numbers have been quite low recently, Losing the 4th faction hit them pretty hard it seems. Playing at off peak times is good but during peak you sometimes just get stuck on whatever continent you spawn on because of long queue times but it doesn't happen that often.

Right now I wouldn't do so because of the NC over pop. If you make an NC character now you will actually feel pretty good about it. When the NC lose their 10+% pop advantage then they get demolished.

Although I would Love to go NC, because of their extra damage and standard recoil...
I have about a dozen guns on VS, that I don't have on NC.

Connery is the only west coast server. East coast pop is split between mattherson and waterson. There might be a merge in the distant future though.

There are different subsets of 4th faction. The ones that switch with each warp gate rotation and those that switch based on whatever is the new flavor of the month OP item/items. Then you have the ones that play whichever faction seems strongest at the time... Those are the ones that have been with the TR for a long time and have been migrating over to the NC.

It really just depends on how you define a 4th faction player, Even if they played a faction for six months and then swap to a different one because they seem like the strongest at that time then I would consider them 4th faction.

There are actually people who switch based on which faction seems weakest or the least populated because they want a challenge or they don't like being a member of the "zerg" Empire.

I do it on occasion if I feel tired of my VS. I usually go to places I can get population bonus XP.

There are also some 4th factioners that play the lowest population, which is nice.

And right now on Connery there's a queue to get on all the continents so you log into vr training. :O

Very true, Just saying with the latest update TR pop dropped like a stone and NC jumped, Doesn't really take three guesses to figure out what happened there.

Haven't logged on Connery during peak hours for the last two days or so, Been playing quite a bit on Woodman but I have noticed it's jumping even during off peak hours which is nice. Although with Connery having good pop more and more people are going to start drifting over there and pretty soon I think we're all going to be looking at some long queue times.

Waterson is still my favorite server but Connery definitely has a larger population. Its not even close.

As much as I don't like it they need to merge Waterson and Matherson.

I'll bail to Connery. Last thing I need is for the Mattherson NC to make our situation even worse. Plus I'd have to put up with those obnoxious VS and tryhard TR.

You know, when i imagine a Mat/Wat merge, and you are right, it never crossed my mind how "obnoxious" Mat VS are. but at least shiitclave no longer exists... so theres that.

Actually I was kinda hoping Waterson VS could help Mattherson VS to stop trolling ALL THE TIME. When TR and NC fight eachother you can hear GG's and good fights. When we fight the Vanu the Vanu talk so much trash you'd almost think the Enclave were still antagonizing them even those they left several months ago. Even tonight when the TR took a biolab from the Vanu in an alert with the combined efforts of the 903rd and BWC (AOD was on Esamir too from what I saw) I along with other TR threw up Goodfight and GG VANU. When the Vanu took it back later that night this was the result. (Whoever Quixos VS is, you are a gentlemen )

This isn't to say their aren't good outfits like NNG/GOTR/AT who act civilized but yeesh Mattherson Vanu, lighten up already!

Actually since Mattherson NC have to deal with the TR/VS all the time and still manage to win alerts on a somewhat regular basis I'd say Mattherson NC has the potential to HELP Waterson NC. Furthermore I don't see what's tryhard about wanting to have organizeds outfit . BWC accepts anyone regardless of KDR or MLG stats, although we certainly like it if you're a great player,so if you're willing to work as part of an organized unit we probably have a task force you'll like. For BWC it's not try harding, it's striving for Excellence in Gaming

I meant relatively. Mattherson NC are probably better most other servers' NC (Ceres still claims to have the best) but relative to their opposition I was under the impression they were inferior, even if slightly, which on a server like Mattherson means you get a bit sidelined. Which is why I wouldn't roll NC on Mattherson, I'd roll TR (to stick it to the VS - from what I understand they deserve be be smacked down a little). If I were rolling a new NC now I'd either pick Ceres because they're the only NC that are considered superior relative to their opposition, or if I wanted a US server so my ping were lower I'd pick Connery simply because they at least have good pop.

Now admittedly Mattherson and Waterson need to get merged at some point because the populations are dwindling, I'm just saying the NC still won't be on an even playing field.
