Erm. I don't see a problem with my post at all. It's not even presented as an argument against the OP. I've merely explained why I think people look disfavourably on spam weapons. I even finished - the very last line - saying that I do see a need for them on occasion. Your post is interesting and valid, and I fully agree as this being a great example of one of the reasons I've accommodated in that last line.

The times I roll my eyes at spam kills is where they aren't used like that. Where they're used as a low risk speculative toss to try and snag a few kills but then you don't follow up. The heavy who spins round the corner and rather than shooting you with his LMG or Shotgun, fires an Anti-Tank rocket at your medic @ point blank: maybe that would have been a better (less contestable) example of what I was meaning here!
