    Comcast here.
What I don't understand is how the Launcher crashes before even logging in, since they are the primary culprit going forward from here. Part of the launcher is a standalone application, is what I mean. if it couldn't log in, shouldn't just revert to the "Please log in" mode?
Some people report an error code but my window just goes black after it is obscured by something and has to (fails to) redraw. What is the error code?
  4. Nayrx

If you highlight the black window you will see it says "unknown error occurred"

oh comcast, I have less then fond memory's of working in their call centers. calling support about a game launcher will likely get you nowhere, or a run around support ticket sent to a center in Manila.

    East coast here too PA

Some where in the forums is a post by SOE explaining that the current NVIDA GeForce 334.89 drivers are causing crashes or black screens. I'm running that version with, for the most part, no problems. Now for Comcast, I have never had a problem like what you are describing with Comcast and I've been playing since beta. If the internet is working, the game will work unless obviously SOE has issues. Too bad Comcast is so damned expensive. Anyway, have you tried uninstalling the game and reloaded it??

If I'm not mistaken, Comcast was one of those wonderful companies that liked to throttle internet connections making you have slower rates than what you pay for. They then suggest you do speed tests on a website run by them because other websites "aren't accurate or secure".

It is possible that perhaps somehow PS2 is having conflicts with a firewall. Maybe an update on Comcast's end changed something on your computer, can't really say for sure. I'd hope some SOE members could help with this.
  11. Nayrx

Yes I wish SOE would help with this too
  12. Nayrx

I deleted all local PS content and updated the video drivers just to eliminate any possibilities and still cant connect. Any one At SOE care to offer some assistance ?

I've saved my keybinds and graphic settings. I am going to try uninstalling and reinstalling.

Have you guys been able to get back on?

I have tried so many other things.
  14. Nayrx

don't bother deleting your game it doesn't help.
It seems to be a network problem in another post some one ran a tracecert and it stopped at a Comcast router in VA
  15. Cuptoman

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one having issues today. I'm also an East Coast Comcast user. Though not for long if this keeps up. SOE please respond.
  16. Mayo Blue

Having same issue. Comcast East Coast (NJ)

Several pages of errors and a RETRY tab. Tried reinstalling, don't do that. Waste of time.

Yep, Comcast in Pittsburgh. Can connect to launcher just fine, but it crashes at 98% on the load after that. www.planetside2.com down also, tracert gets as far as ashburn VA and dies on the next hop. Every other game/website i can think of is working fine.

    From another post

It appears something might be down in the link from Comcast to whoever PS2 is connected to? I can connect to forums and launcher just fine - and in advanced settings, the launcher even shows current server populations. But the game crashes (before character select) when loading at various points, most commonly at 98%. Did once connect as far as character select, but it dropped from there when i picked one. I also cannot connect to www.planetside2.com, and tracert's to it stop after the 5th hop (which is a comcast router in ashburn VA). I'm in Pittsburgh, if it matters. Every other game/website i try seems fine. A buddy on the other side of town (not on comcast) can connect just fine.

Now I feel bad about re-installing the game via steam, as it had no effect.

    Comcast in Maryland here

Is any one at SOE looking into this?
Because if it cant be fixed by restarting your modem Comcast support isn't going to help us.
