Cloaking bug since colossus update.

It's now very difficult to tell if you are cloaked or not, the glass like transparency of your gun and arm are not like before and if you are crouched they look like you are uncloaked, the only way to tell is to move and see if the cloak energy bar goes down. Not good. I'm now constantly pressing the cloak button and accidently uncloaking instead.

Same. I was even standing still, "cloaked" and another person runs right up to me and stabs me. Why did they change this? Common sense: you NEED to be able to tell if you're cloaked or not, not instead move around to check cloak energy bar or hit cloak button again, both of which gets you killed.

Why did you even change it?! Or is this a bug?

I can confirm I have the same problem, even though I've spotted a few infiltrators whose cloak were actually working. Mine wasn't, and I noticed many enemy infiltrators acting as if no one saw them when they were very well visible (which would suggest they had the bug too). There's no way this is not a bug considering that infiltrators are now extremely visible when "cloaked" (unless it's a new feature to nerf the class).

there's currently a first person (hopefully only first person) bug that only shimmers about half of your view model in total probably due to the new merit deployable maybe? otherwise shimmer has been a lot easier to see and bugs like weapons being constantly uncloaked to others have seemed to be a lot more frequent.

Logged off for food and when I returned it seemed like cloaking was working OK again.
But I now think it's after you place or interact with the new ordanance device. After that it goes wrong and you can no longer tell if you are cloaked or not .

What you say makes perfect sense Quimcity. I just tested it to make sure. Basically the cloak works perfectly fine until you use something from the Tactical Slot (in my case, it was the AUX Spitfire auto-turret). Then the bug triggers. You need to actually spawn the Spitfire auto-turret to trigger the cloak bug, otherwise you can still cloak normally without the bug.
