I have a problem with my cloak: When I kill someone with my SMG and then cloak to run away, it happens from time to time (rather often lately) that 1-2 seconds afterwards the cloak turns off by itself. There is still lots of energy left. This has cost my life a lot and starts to annoy me. Does anyone have similar experiences? Is it a bug or maybe my keyboard?
Same thing man, and also for the one to two seconds the cloak turns on your weapons still work, got killed by a dude while he cloaked only to have him decloak a second later which, to me, sounds like this bug. It's infuriating as hell when the cloak seems to get a mind of its own.
It seems like the server can't decide if you're cloaked or not, then decides you aren't and uncloaks the player.
Same problem here. I notice that, if you fire your gun and hold the trigger and at the same time go in cloak, you will immediately uncloak. This is really annoyning. you shoot and go instant in cloak to avoid gunfire or run for your life. If you throw a HE its the same. You have hidden Cooldown at your cloak from ~0,5 seconds. If you throw a grenade, it ssems you have a CD from even 1 seconde to get in cloak. But i think its the same as with the bug at low settings "we working on that problem" 4 months later: "we working at it"
every time. all the time. can't even begin to count the perfect getaways and/or kill streaks this has denied me for no good reason at all. Seems to only happen when I try to reload immediately after cloaking, or maybe if I'm hitting something other than the cloak key at the same time in general.
I've seen this before but only when lag was involved. Essentially, you cloak, the game thinks you're still shooting and disables your cloak. Haven't seen much of it lately though unless I'm playing an alert or something on a west coast server when I'm east coast.
I get it in no-lag situations as well. It has to do with cloaking and reloading shortly after. I've had this problem for months, it is terrible and seems to happen to me when using SMG's and the auto scout rifles. I don't notice it often with my BASRs. Just another buggy aspect of our cloak. One way to mitigate is to cloak, wait an extra second before reloading. I know you want to reload as fast as possible... but if you want for the cloak to "register" with the server a bit longer, then it seems to keep you cloaked when you reload a bit later.
Happens to me as well, I just get good at recloaking it right away. The benefit of exiting cloak to do a hit means that you usually won't be spotted before you cloak the first time, meaning they will not spot you right away when it idiotically drop.
