Clientside Hit Detection is Terribad

  1. Diamond Sword

And here are two reasons why:

    1) The damage of your weapon doesn't matter as much as the rate of fire. You can literally do more damage with less rounds using a low damage, high rate of fire weapon, than you can with a high damage weapon with a medium rate of fire. Perfect example: Pulsar C vs Serpent carbines. The Pulsar C is the highest damage carbine for VS, while the Serpent has the highest rate of fire. At a close/medium range, it will take about 10 head shots or 20 for a chest shot to kill with the Pulsar C using HV ammo. At the same range, it will take 2 headshots, or 10 to the body to kill with the Serpent.

    2) The higher your latency, the bigger your advantage. Other people will see you teleporting around, sometimes even phasing through walls. On their screen, however, things are teleporting, but also moving at a slower pace. If you have a good ping and get into a firefight with someone who is lagging compared to you, you could make it around solid cover on your screen, but since you're still on their screen, they can hit you.
