Connery TR had a spawn point in the wall and used it to attack a base. Watch the video and pause to take note of the names.. at least one of them was very smug about it in the chat. A BR75. Shameful!
Send it in to customer service. Nothing will happen from a forum post. There have been router exploits like this before. Last time it went on for about 3 days then suddenly nobody was doing it anymore.... >
Is anything going to be done about Routers? As far as I'm aware, they were mean't for the base building aspect of the game. But it seems more and more people are catching on and are using them in normal base fights now, almost as a replacement to the spawn beacon.
I've spawned at a router inside another building at that base a month or so ago. I blew it up with C4. Also, considering it happened at the same base but a different spot, it seems there has to be a spot to glitch through territory there.

Hmm - not sure they were only intended to assist with base building, indeed i've only ever seen them used (very effectively) for taking bases. Tech plants are a great example - get a router on the upper landing in the corner and protect. However the video looks like someone exploiting.
It wasnt build for construction. I like to think it was my idea. For a couple of years I proposed the Medic to get a utility costing 200 resources. When placed it would allow anyone to spawn there as long as they were within a few hundred meters or within the base area. The idea was that it would allow both attackers and defenders to open up new routes of attack and reduce things like spawn camping and increase the value of Medics to place them and LA's+Infils to hunt them down making the HA less valuable to the overall game. The devs at some point added a "Forwards Station" to the Medic. It replaced the heal AOE (if I remember correctly), stayed about 2 minutes and also recharged in 2 minutes. You could only spawn there if you died within 150m of it, a bit shorter than the distance of an AMP station spawn room to the nearest vehicle gateshield. Despite this much more limited idea people went nuts and said it would ruin the game. The devs tweaked it a little on the PTS but never released it. Suddenly the devs removed the Forwards Station and changed it to the Router, which was released almost instantly. This because they tried to sell the construction system at any cost. It was a terrible system. It took a lot of playtime to build a base, a router, move towards the base you want with a routerpad and deploy one, and then the respawn time took a while so few people would even use it. Now the new spawn rules are in effect and a large part of what I envisioned happened: with routers and spawn beacons people can open up new paths and change how bases are attacked and defended. No outcry, no problems and in fact an invigorated game experience. If anything routers need to be changed into the Forwards station and allowed on an even larger scale.
Placing teleport pads through walls, into spots that are technially out of bounds? PlanetSide Classic. Seriously, devs may need to stop. I'm actually growing faintly encouraged in the direction of the game.
