When i first began this planetside a few months ago it was much faster to farm certs.Have followed the patches and am about at my breaking point with the recent nerf to gaining certs. in truth it has become quite a grind. There appears to be a small population too, suppose f2p is its flaw.
all seems lower to me- used to get a good chunk for vehicle assist and capping/defending but hardly any now, and defending a base won't reward a lot of the time
Honestly i think this is where the game fails in regard to play styles, every one zergs and everyone farms because its a cert farm, the mythical meta game of tactics s just that, a myth. The old system they had was much better, you earned cert points on battle ranks forcing you to be careful how you built your character, but also giving you an option to re spec every 12hrs if you wanted to try a different build. If you are in reality earning 100 certs every hour then you are cert farming, but if you are not, i suggest playing Medic or Engineer and follow the zerg n between gunning Lightnings or ESMBT's/ Liiberators.
100certs per hour is really low, thats 50 kills or less, you can gain that easily by Playing light Assault in a base with Jump pads
Kill XP has actually expanded a lot since the early days of the game. I am not talking about the very early game where they doubled XP gain from all sources (except healing, I think) and that became the new standard; I just mean in terms of rewards for combat. Assist kill XP has pushed towards a contribution model rather than a flat sum model, which arguably reflects player performance. In the end you can focus on one target and get a critical assist XP, or focus on a lot of targets and incrementally get that same amount of assist XP. Support XP remains flat, low, and most sources of it capped against exploitation. There are ribbons now, at least. Additionally, AA is a huge deal in assist and kill XP. It used to be virtually impossible to get any XP from fending off Aircraft, so much that even Air could tend to not do it. You can, of course, not care about how many certs you earn however often and just play the game.
1 kill is 1 cert 1 extreme menance kill is 2-3 certs every 10 kills is 1 cert +2 certs for the first 50 kills only ribbons account for 15 certs without accounting for any xp boni giving you 85 certs left to farm 50 naked kills leave you with 35 certs left lets say 20% of the kills are extreme menance so 10 of them so you have another 10-15 certs, 20 certs left a few vehicle kills, lets say 4, 500 each, 16 leaving you with 4 cap a major facility, 1000 xp, 4 certs congratulations you made 100 certs without much skill requirement not even accounting for beeing intelligent and fighting on a cont where you have underpop and can have much more fun.
I just looked up your stats. You have a total average xp per minute of 154. That's about 37 certs per hour. 100 certs per hour is really low?
I'm a Galaxypilot and Outfit player aand stand around afk alot, i also played this game way more when i was worse at it. The math i did was for an average Solorun i doat Rashnu biolab when i jump to the towerbase and use the momentum with my jetpacks to kill enemies directly in the tower. DasAnfall should show a more appropiate Score for the last few days.
head shot bonus, kill streak bonus and i also counted kill assists in this because they vary too much to be really accounted for with any precicion so i used the kill and spot assists to fill up kills to a full certs, i forgot to say that, sorry
Still, to say 100 certs per hour is very low is saying that you can make 200 certs per hour no problem. Can you average over 830 score per minute when you try?
