I have got past the loading screen, to the character selection screen, selected my character and now it just says "Logging In..." It's been doing this for 5 minutes. HURRAY FOR WEEKLY PATCHES!!!
are you all EU too? because the game has been unplayable now for over 24 hours due to errors like this and patching right through prime time.
I had to wait like 10-15 minutes before I got past the first loading screen. Stuck on 96% as usual. Luckily you can tab out and just let it sit in the background but if you wait too long(like I did now) the game will simply quit after a while. Edit: EU too..
Same here and I am not happy about this... SOE better get their act together or they will loose players over this...
Same thing over here. And I thought this was a patch, not a crash to download... SOE at it´s finest again...
Same thing for me on Mattherson. Anyone know something to pass the time? while im still logging in..?
The server would very literally have just come back up. Think of it like starting up a computer with a ton of programs to load. It will just take time for it to fire up and settle in. Breathe.
That's not how it works. Either the server is up or it isn't. Furthermore, my computer starts responding in less than one minute upon loading Windows. Maybe you have a trash computer, that's not indicative of anything. There's a problem on SOE's end at the moment. We'll just have to wait.
It's just sad how frustrated you people get, because you can't wait a short while for them to get things sorted.
Server has been back up for ages, I don't know where you've been. I just had the problem just now, took me 5 minutes to get back in.
The servers were down all day yesterday for the delayed ESF patch and now I can't log in to the servers tonight. To quote part of your above post: "It's sad how frustrated" fanboi's become when people quite rightly question the quality of service they receive.
Not sure if this is the fix or not, but it has worked for me the last two times (on two separate updates) that I was stuck at the "logging in" from the character selection; Had to delete my AVG's firewall rules for PS2 and re-add them. May just be coincidence...
