Here's how the weapons tend to lay out. The GR-22 is made for close range specialty with some mid range usefulness. Carnage BR is meant as an all rounder weapon with a bit more emphasis on closer ranges. The Gauss is an all rounder with an emphasis on mid range. Pick your favorite. Personally I use the GR 22 for indoor use, but outdoors I tend to use a reaper DMR.
