Can you serious eff up the air game anymore?

    I think you partially nailed it on the head there...

    I honestly can't think of one time I have heard anyone complain the AH was OP, nor did I ever get the sense it was OP when using it. If anything I thought it was just about perfect, for a shotgun on an Aircraft. I can't tell you how many times I suggested the best fix for the cannister would be to mount the AH on a MBT, not because it was OP, but because it felt about right, strong but limited by range.

    Oddly enough, SOE says the reason for the change was to reduce its effectiveness vs Liberators. yet we are seeing such raging discussions about how OP the Liberator is and most agree the ESF should be one if not the primary counter to the liberator.

    So, Why nerf the AH vs the liberator, it stands to reason you should look at the other empires comparable ES nose gun weapons that are similar to the AH and buff them vs liberators.

    It's a shame the AH was a pretty decent weapon system, but now I feel its back to being the cannister in the sky.

    I loved how now I can fight a Reaver like I fight a Scythe. I was about make a post before the announcement of this patch days ago, so I waited to see, and I'm very satisfied. Reavers was the only ESF with I could feel something strange, because was so hard win against one, and when you saw a squad of them the air was dominated by NC, in a way which I never saw VS or TR do.

    Yesterday I could fight them. We could dominate an area. I saw VS do the same, was amazing. Yesterday while in Esamir alert I saw a lot of air fights and all the factions had to work, instead of NC come and destroy everything. I didn't saw nobody die for 3 shots how happen every ******* time against Reavers, I saw a lot of Scythes vs Reavers fights and yesterday a Scythe won.

    I have just to thanks SOE for this patch.

    I came back to this game after a few months off and noticed my AH just didn't feel right. Then I realized I had 2 more rounds than when I left, and immediately was like "oh crap, they changed stuff". I couldn't place what was different, it just seemed harder to kill infantry. Now I know why.


    tbh, I hated the low ammo count before unlocks, but everything else seemed ok. It was inferior to the Banshee as an AI weapon, but better for AA. If they would have just made the starting ammo count 5, and then only added 2 upgrades for a max of 7, the AH would have been in a better place, and more useful to new pilots who don't have a lot of certs.

    ....Can we just get Strikers, Fractures or a Vulcan on our ESF? :p Vanu got a PPA variant ;Ppppp They'd still suck but it'd be fun.

    I'd ask for a shotgun on my ESF but there's already one there

    The Air hammer needs to have its maximum damage range increased from 50m to at least 100m, which is still 50m less then it was originally (150m)
