Calling all NC Miller Outfits

    Where have you guys gone?
I, DrHous3, Leader of Flowerbois, loved the fact that I could call on support from big outfits such as 252, Jianji, GAR, Conz and DL.

Now, we had a recent merge with LYF (Legio of Infanati), making us, Flower Legion, a huge outfit with alot of active members. All of my Platoon Leads were complaining of the lack of support from NC Outfits during alerts.

I had to come ingame to see this. because i didnt want to believe it. Come 7:30pm GMT on a Friday night, a Biolab Alert, for 2 hours, I did not get a response on command chat.

We NC ALWAYS WIN ALERTS when the population is even or only around a +/-5% difference. This was a general rule, the fact is that the TR always needed a 10% pop advantage to beat us, and that was just barely. Where there were cases where when all outfits were on. we would somehow even overthrow that population difference.

    Moving ON!!!

Now I know the big outfit leaders are moving on, some members are tired of the game and are moving on with life. But you guys should put in a succession system, where the next in lead carry on how awesome you guys are and keep it active, not only for your communities, but for the new members of NC Miller.

Now all that is happening is that NC Newbs come on, join a ****** zerg, and leave to the TR to join their Active, Communicating Outfits. This Population dis-advantage is a ripple for this.

    Future?
For all you future members, future leaders of these big outfits, or even leaders of any new outfits that are growing.
    - Lets communicate
    - Lets use the NCTO Channel, Command Chat or any other platform to communicate on.
    - Lets actually use our Outfit knowledge/speciality to its advantage.

I remember a capture Esamir alert, where Conz/ 252 took infantry mode, where Flowerbois took ground vehicles and DL supported air. Guess what. 30% pop to 40% tr pop... We Won..

It can be done as it HAS BEEN DONE. so lets show those TR ******* - how the game actually is played ;)

What's with the random switches between font size?

NC outfits on Miller have an activity level that is dropping at a constant rate every day. People grow bored, tired, whatever you want to say they are growing to be.

Is that a good thing? Hell no, it isn't. There is currently an abysmal difference between VS and NC, and it's not skill-wise at all. It's a mere organizational problem. I log into my VS, there's plenty of ENGLISH-speaking squads and platoons running in the afternoon trying to do something while on NC there's plenty of half empty squads (rarely platoons) that either:
    - Don't use voice chat
    - Speak another language
This while the population is most of the time higher than that of VS.

Major VS outfits are on TVA every single evening (shame they are not active during the day), whereas NCTO is a graveyard where you're lucky finding some NC outfit officer/leader lying there in complete solitude.

Then there's the problem that activity is on such a low level and it's a problem for an outfit to host their own squads most of the time, which leads them to join some open platoons or play solo until they get bored. When the possibility arises, however, the problem becomes a matter of who wants to lead it, because people all dislike leading.

Edit: NC outfits need to be NAGGED constantly about getting on that goddamn NCTO Teamspeak the same way they did on TVA until it became a routine to connect to it during evenings.

Hous3 we (252V) were communicating with yourself and NBn8tor (sorry if thats not spelled correctly) on command on Friday night :p Im pretty sure JNJ were around as well later.
I will agree with your overall sentiment, I would like to see more coordination over all. I think there should be more activity in the NCTO as well, although I am not directly involved in it.

And come back Zhukov we miss The Herder of Cats
Also I have to agree about the nagging redzy, you can do it for us :D :p

Appreciate the enthusiasm, but im not sure how much of this really attaches to reality, we start to enter the 'lolwut' dimension as soon as you mentioned DL air squad, Emitz is a massive reaverwhore, 99.9999% of us can't fly ESF's for ****, we like our Gals though but thats because we play airbourne infantry more than anything else. Anyway..

DL, as well as a bunch of REALLY good outfits you've not mentioned. MCY and WASP being two that spring to mind, are going no where.

When there's an objective to cooperate over, you'll find us cooperating with as many people as will listen. Last night for example, was very good with XDT and LSD as well as others. I apologize for just disappearing but I have a **** ton of a work for my computing M.Sc atm, and if there's no other DL officer on, that's us for the night. Thus is life. Most of the people who make good officers and are tactically competent, in our experience, have jobs, lives etc.

Can't expect everyone to run at military level coms, with a clear chain of command down to the last player 24/7. We do as much as we can at prime time, and several other outfits do. But thats about it, and well, its going pretty well at the moment from my perspective. Bourne out by actual results too.

As a new player that is on NC Miller I'd like to say that I agree with the point about there not being a lot of decent (at least open) squads/platoons to play with. Generally the Miller open squad board has a couple of random public squads that in my experience don't use voice chat or have any coordination at all. I had one very fun evening with a 252V open platoon and that's about it.

It seems like teamwork and the social game is a big part of PS2, but it's really hard to get into that as a new player and that means we newbs are running around like idiots in the wrong territories and not contributing much to the faction objectives. Also having a lot less fun than we should be and wondering if it's a game worth sticking with.

You sure you are talking about Miller NC. VS win a lot more alerts than NC, especially when the population is balanced. The only time I see NC winning is when NCTO is in full swing (which is a rare thing indeed).

I play a lot less on my NC character these days for one big reason, whenever i join a group in game there's always 3-4 guys on the voice comms that love the sound of their own voice and they literally won't shut the hell up. It wouldn't be so bad but they aren't even discussing tactics or giving orders, they just prattle on about complete crap and make stupid noises like children.

I've tried a few outfits but they always seem to start great then die fast due to lack of activity :(

Hey... I agree with you, but this is also when Command Chat is up... Today the biolab alert... 4 outfits... i mean 4 outfits were on command.... we won... TR populated us by 10%, an hour in, we had world pop
  10. Chowley

We (252V) will be trying to do more open platoons again soon, unfortunately we have been having awful issues with ingame voice lately, so relying heavily on our mumble server, which makes open platoons a bit awkward.
I completely agree with how important well led open platoons are.
  11. Darkraver

Why IS the population on NC dropping ? simple every 1 want the cool TR toys and win alerts whit that HUGE pop .

Second is that 60 til 80 % of Miller NC is Just Dumb and really dont care abbout alerts they just wanna fight on Indar .
  12. Astriania

NC win an alert! ... Indar territory. >.>
  13. Van Dax

I think that was the point, when NCTO are going they win a lot.
