[Suggestion] Bring faction transfers

Please allow us to transfer our character to another faction. Just reset all the certs and make them available to use in the new faction after doing this process.
I've spent too much time to my character as a NC on cobalt, then took a break for one year. Now vanu dominates the server, there's no faction balance at all. Only vanu wins. Not fun for TR or NC.
If you aren't gonna balance factions then please let me transfer to Vanu and get some alert wins...
Other MMOs have server and faction swap features. Please bring it to Planetside 2 as well.

To provide balance, lock the character for 6 months or 1 year after transferring.
And offer cert bonuses for joining a faction with low alert win rates for a long time, then lock the character
to that faction for some time. There must be a way for it.

So, because factions aren't balanced population-wise, you intend to imbalance them that much further?
You propose that you can not play as the transferred character for up to a year after the transfer. That's--an odd feature to request.
You seem too preoccupied with certification points. If the point to shifting over the winning team is to win, then you should easily recoup any hypothetical loss by just making a new character anyway since you'll suddenly be winning again, right? Then you'll still have that NC player for when the wind changes direction again.

It's locking transfers for that character, not locking the character itself.
If the wind changes direction, then your character's transfer lock opens after 6 months or 1 year, you can transfer
back to your original faction. This "wind" doesn't change direction so fast anyway.
And yes, no one cares about team balance at all. People bandwagon to vanu for wins, so why shouldn't other people?
You can see that vanu as a faction dominates most of the servers, maybe because their equipment is better.
So it's a good choice to switch to vanu. Vanu owns 37% victories throughout all servers vs NC is only 25.9%.

Dumbest thing ever said: Balance is skewed and the play experience is bad because of it. Please allow me to skew it even more and make the experience even worse... Please?

Just because a faction has more victories than another doesn't mean you should jump ship and join the winning team. If we all did that there'd be no one left to play with. If anything, people should consider joining the 'losing' team, to help balance things out.

Teams are already balanced number wise. The game queues factions upon entering the map. It won't be a problem.
The problem is VS still has all the overpowered stuff while the NC gets constantly nerfed.
Powerful equipment vs NC's bad equipment makes VS win all the time. Developers don't seem to care about NC losing all the time
especially because of bad vehicles and top guns. Yes they were good back then, now NC has the worst vehicles and it causes losses.
The only good thing left about NC was MAXes and they nerfed it too. Then offer us transfers to VS to play with
better gear like guns with infinite ammo and zero bullet drop. One shotting flashes, OP ESFs and tanks etc. etc.
I don't wanna play NC anymore and getting another character to BR100 is impossible after this point.
The only possibility is faction transfer system. They can make some good income by implementing it
and making it a paid service. It's a win-win situation for both players and the company.

It will be a problem after a while.

Let's take your VS-NC example and put things into perspective. Say VS really is the top faction here and a few players jump ship to VS. Yes, there will only be a few extra VS, but after a while of NC players getting tired of losing, they decide to jump ship too and join VS. This means VS accumulates a larger number of players in its faction, and NC loses a significant number. This leaves NC with a substantial loss to its player count. As there are so few players on NC, people will not choose to play that faction because it doesn't have many players there to begin with. Thus, no one will join NC.

Now, let's take a continent that has ended up with 38% VS, 28% NC, and 33% TR. Yes, the faction queue will prevent VS and TR players from entering the continent, but if so few players are willing to join, the continent is going to be locked in an imbalance because of it.

It may not seem like a big deal, but after a while, it will become one. People will complain they're stuck in huge queues due to population imbalance, and people will get annoyed because they can't play on their VS characters. Why? Because a large portion of the NC player-base jumped ship.

Let's take Briggs for example. Given the severe lack of players on that server, do you see anyone from that region really playing there? No. Why? Because nobody else does. Only the select, loyal few do. Just like the select few who will continue to play NC despite a good portion of players jumping ship to VS. Very few would want to play NC because of low population. A low population means poor fights. Poor fights means people won't want to play that faction. After a while the loyalists of that faction will get tired in one way or another and either jump ship to another faction or leave the game entirely.

Yes. The company would benefit from receiving money from those willing to switch their characters to another faction. However, what the company receives in customer complaints and dissatisfaction will be the greater loss.

It's a good idea in theory, but in execution, it would simply cause far more problems that it would ever be worth.

Server transfers would be the better answer here.
But of course the also don't exist.
