This seems to be an issue related to Direct 3D version 9. Start there. Upgrade the video drivers, maybe check to see if there are updates to your version of direct X and try again.
i7 4770K GTX 780 16 GB 1600 RAM Windows 7 I Will check the Direct 3D version also i am running the most up to date driver for my card and running the most up to date Direct X.
If that is the case it would require more debugging on the part of SOE in particular they would need to see why they get an access denied when trying to read/write memory related to Direct 3D.
I've had the exact same problem, but I think I may have found the problem! Are you running EVGA's Precision X? Or event the EVGA GeForce Experience app? Close them down. Closing Precision X and the RivaTuner server solved the issue for me. Hope it works for you!
