Black Screen after patching

There is a lot of people logging in, so is completely normal the long time to get in the server, relax, keep tryin and you'll log in, and for the persons who is suffering with Black Screen, is just open the game, play, and let the black screen, JUST WAIT.

Validate your game files. It takes a minute, but it worked for me. Pass it on.

Daniel's right. Just tested it out and it took a handful of tries but finally go in. The servers are indeed populating so players are able to get in. We appreciate your patience.

I got a black screen upon loading up the game, but after a moment it went to the login screen. It seems the first loading screen isn't running properly, or that's my assumption. Logging in took a bit longer than usual, but other than that, everything is normal.

Also, I'm glad you guys deleted my post, because it indicates yet another company that is more interested in protecting its image than actually listening to customers.

1.5 hours of trying to log in - still no luck.

This is agitating to say the least.

yeah well for those of us who didn't download PS2 from Steam, sure can't do this procedure. any other way around steam (for those of us who downloaded straight from the website) for "file verification" ?
