Biggest WTF moments in your History of PS2.

My wtf moment came when i took to a ESF.

TR: i fly to the biodome where all the nc are waiting, i fly into the crowd killing one or 2 of them. I just out with my lmg and start firing killing people looking the wrong way. I hide near my plane. Someone shoots it. It detonates, rolling over another hapless NC. I use still the burning wreckage to hide myself and pick some one off. The lmg runs out of ammo. No time for a reload. Pull out a pistol and fire on someone else bag another person and eventually i'm gunned down. Seconds later, the tr defenders rush out and push the enemy back.


VS: fly a scythe in hossin to get to a fight i like to look of. i see a defenceless librator and decide to gun for it. There is a reaver on my tail. No problem i'll bail. But i'm too late and the ESF becomes my coffin. For some reason the ESF shooting at me also dies and the burning wreckage of my fighter hits something on the way down killing 2 people. Possibly hitting the liberator or crushing people on the ground.

I was NC on southeast Indar practicing my mountain-goating (as my outfit affectionately calls climbing impossible cliffs as a non-LA), literally a kilometer behind friendly lines.

I had managed to get up two thirds of one of the more audacious cliffs near Tawrich TP when suddenly a stealthed TR Sunderer starts rolling down the cliff spinning wildly and hits me neatly in the head. I was laughing way too hard to complain about such a hilarious coincidence.


I also once "roadkilled" a flash. While flying a galaxy about 150m above the ground.
To this day I have no idea how that happened.

I do believe I was once killed by a flashbang.

Landing a drop pod on your squads gal (back when you didn't immediately explode) and making it crash is always nice too...

when an ally that passed through my repair beam as i was fixing a tank dropped dead and gave me the team kill warning >.>

1.spawning a magrider and barely touching a wall ,tank explodes

2.seeing a magrider circle strafed to death by a harraser with a basilisk (after harraser nerf) the guy piloting was not a noob.

3.i think i once managed to kill a guy with an emp grenade

Killing a guy with a flashbang.

I had two on this past Friday, both on Connery. The first one was me running full speed then killed by an annihilator as infantry. The second was me dying to an engineer who was wielding a shrike according to the death screen.

My biggest WTF moment in this game was taking a one year break, coming back and seeing the game is actually worse off than it was before. Seriously, what the F&&^@.

The day they destroyed all strategy and meta by making resources a flat rate that ignored lattice. The second WTF moment was 3 months later when they did absolutely nothing for 3 months to remedy that.

My WTF moment came at Crossroads Watch Tower on Indar. I was guarding point B and an enemy light Assault threw and denoted C-4 on the roof and somehow the explosion came through the roof and killed me.

Hmm, beat me to it, but it was a loaded question far too easy for someone not to already have posted.

When I used to play - before I knew any better - you have to admit that one of the best things in the title is getting an aircraft kill with just 1 handgun/rifle bullet.

Yes someone else did the work, but wouldn't it be orsum if you could 1hk an aircraft hooer with a handgun in one shot like they do to infantry all the time?

There really should be a critical hit for small arms on aircraft, a 0.05% chance of it just exploding from being hit in a vital component so there was a risk from all that infantry farming, no matter what it's repair state.

So many moments that spring to mind, but keeping it to a top 3…

Shot a Flash (Had already killed the rider) it explodes, wreckage goes flying away from me, hits a wall, bounces back and kills me, (dead) rider gets the kill.

Suddenly get 17 TKs… WTF???

Tracking it back through peoples kill boards it appeared a claymore I had deployed to protect a Sundy had been tripped by an NC attacking the Sundy, that in turn had set off a C4 brick being thrown by an LA which had then set of a bunch of landmines that an NC engineer had dropped under the Sundy but failed to set off (Back before you could despawn mines with the repair tool)


The system of course decided to give me “credit” for everything that was killed in the resulting fire ball.

I should probably mention it was a Sundy belonging to the outfit I was a member of. I’d been with them exactly 30mins (They saw the funny side)

Finally took a shot at an Engineer repairing a base turret with my sniper rifle, fluffed the head shot… Engineer panics, turns and runs and I pick up my first Bouncing Betty kill as TR… again a claymore that I had dropped about 30mins beforehand (And forgotten about) was tripped when the engineer made a run for it, while his flak armour saved him from the claymore it didn’t save him from the 2 mines the claymore set off that he had dropped to protect his back while he repaired.

Oh and then there was a decimator head shot against a cloaked infil that went over a hill, through a door way and out a window...

Well, I was a tad bit surprised last week when I accidentally killed friendly MAX with a flare gun.

damn i gotta throw away my rocket launcher and get me one of those
