when your sunderer comes under fire from rocket pod spammers, just deconstruct it immediately before they can come around for a second pass to finish it off. they might get 100 exp from killing you, but it's more than worth it to deny them 2 cheap certs.
For maximum rage, bind /suicide to a spare key and when your screen starts shaking like your in an earthquake and all you can see is explosions 2 foot from your face, hit it.
For maximum rage you stop playing the game so they no longer have anything to shoot. This would also fix more than half of the issues with this game and about 95% of the **** in these forums.
I still don't believe that ESF's should even have rockets. That's what Libs are for. But that's off topic. Your actually better off getting the Walker for your Sundie. No need to even get out. When you scare him away to get repairs, you repair yourself and continue on your merry way. Rinse & repeat. Honestly, you shouldn't be driving a sundie alone without support (troops/tanks/air/both) anyways.
Yeah, but then again, air originally started it, air 90% of the time does it, while ground less than 10%..much less. So in closing? What comes around goes around.
My reaction as ESF pilot to sundy getting deconstructed: OK, this one is out of the game, no more spawn location for my enemy. And I get to preserve all this rockets/bullets to hunt infantry/libs. Yay, thanks for helping me
Yup. Everyone knows two wrongs totally makes a right. Random person on the internet is a dick to me so that makes it okay if I do it as well.
Best way to enrage Sunderer drivers who like to deconstruct in response to rocketpodders: Coordinate with 3 ESFs to kill the Sunderer before it can be deconstructed. Harvest tears.
My personal favorite : 1) Drive my Lightning out into the open. 2) Wait for them to take the bait. 3) Fire a heat or ap shell right into their face.
The only time I EVER deconstruct a vehicle under fire is if I am a significant distance from it, and it is serving no tactical purpose (a deployed sunderer still serves a purpose). This most often this means someone misses out on a flash kill that was sitting half a map away from me, on rare occasion a lightning (very very rare). Had someone deconstruct an almost dead sunderer on me the other day, and it was the first time I'd ever seen someone do that in the middle of a fight. Takes poor sportsmanship to a level beyond that of the aircraft bailer. Which still baffles me as well: the asshats who can't get over the fact they're getting shot down, so they just bail to deny exp. If I don't see a suicide notification, that's fine (cause it means they were LA or something and survived), or if they attempt to land it and then suicide because they misjudged the speed, that's cool in my book, too. But the deconstructers and the bailers are simply poor sports, and luckily not too common on my server.
