EOD HUD: As has been said, means you can laugh in the face of C4 / tank mine traps. Very useful, especially if you aren't using Flak Armour. However, other options are: Enhanced Targetting: Obviously very useful for prioritising targets when playing as AA or AV, but also in infantry fights against other MAXes. Knowing when an enemy MAX is low or full HP can be invaluable for deciding whether to commit to an attack. Awareness: One of the biggest difficulties as a MAX is fighting in smoke. Awareness auto-spots players who damage you with unsuppressed weapons, giving you doritos to aim under.
^^ Yes, What he said! for anything that is not Anti-Infantry use Enhanced Targetting (since you will mostly be away from the action, unless MAX hunting with AV loadout) Awareness i guess is situational, or Biolabs mostly but yeah, its great for smoke covers.
