I'm BR 70 on my NC, we don't need a buff man, screw them scummy TR + VS easy modes. Every time i face a TR or VS i pity their choice of choosing a boys faction. I want them to be OP, so when i defeat them, i laugh with passion in my heart. The true fulfillment you will never get on the other side. You fight harder when you fight against the odds, don't let them shift you away, let them have it easy, we don't want it. Do not buff the NC, our maxes are broken, our ESF's are flying bricks. If you fly a scythe / mozzie and you pat yourself on the back dog fighting the brick, you're a shell of a man.
What we need is a ground vehicle good (not great, just good) at AI. In the whole combined arms rock-paper-scissor, you need something that solidifies your vehicle supremacy... when you have it. If you can't wipe infantry in these situations, you get your vehicles rocketed faster than you can say "What? You're carrying four of those things?" Liberators served that purpose once upon a time, but they're a bit wet-paper bag'ish now. Fury/bulldogs/he used to do this, before they got made in to chocolate fireguards. Vanguards have never really been good at this. I'm fairly ok with just that for now. I think ZOE is ridiculous, but no more so than Dec-12 NC Maxes. Thinking positive; just some good vehicle AI. Maybe a bit bigger splash on our vanguards to make up for having half as many shots as the prowler?
he's right. the cert prices is the main nc problem nc starter weapons are the worst at cqc. want a non-assault rifle cqc weapon? 1000 certs want a good ai-weapon for your harasser or vanguard? no cheap option outside the kobalt. want to reach out further thn 10 m with your max? deposit 1000+ certs. imo nc gear is mostly fine, but you need to spend a lot more certs than on a tr/vs char
Oh did you mean this one Serpent VE92? Or this one GD-7F ? Their stats are almost Identical except for the serpent having an obviously better reload time, so I couldn't tell which one you were talking about. Also, care to address everything else I mentioned?
NC has the most owerful weapons, they do a lot of damage. The reaver, the max, the shotguns, all. Do you still want more power? Shame, shame, shame.
GD-7F has a cof bloom of .06 despite being a 143 damage weapon. Why? **** if I know. The serpent is just straight up better.
You mean that one that has a MUCH higher recoil, which sends the weapon flailing around the screen because we don't have smaller bloom on it, which makes it a nightmare to use most of the time? Yeah, we got that one.
Funny to hear that from VS ESF fanboy... afraid that we might actualy get something that can pose a threat to your beloved scythe...
I have also seen NC MAXes doing this, in->out and out->in. The only reason to use ZOE is to storm in and out fast, NC has riot shields for this, TR has nothing. But if you refer to more open, maybe you should give an example. I allready seen a good bunch of NC MAXes in AMP Stations and other Bases that are a bit bigger, some used the Shield, other used Slugs to shoot over range and both of them got a good bunch of kills with it. The Problem here is, if the Devs give NC a better long range AI option, for example the Railguns mentioned, they need to give TR and VS a short range AI gun, wich will end with some sort of shotgun. Its the same with abilities, TR has a nice ability for longer range combat against tanks etc, while NC has a nice close range ability and VS has an ability that can be used in most places, but is not very effective and simply a bad design.
...ouch. I'm not the kind of player who goes all like "hurr muh faction is bettah den urs" but hey... you guys have weapons with the best damage per bullet. Which means, better headshots than everyone else. Maybe I'm retárded and I'm missing something here, so feel free to enlighten me.
1) Spec a NC max with Dual Hacksaws with Extended clips and slug ammo - now you can go toe to toe with ANY max and win. I usually end up killing 2 or 3 ZOE maxes before I get taken down. 2) We don't deploy our maxes in the numbers the VS or even the TR do. Everyone has become so convinced that the NC max is "useless" that I'm usually the only one running one (unless they are burster maxes). 3) We don't support our Maxes. You would thnk that SOMEONE on the NC had played some TF2 - but apparently the "tight two man support loop" is a completely unknown tactic to the NC 4) I spec'd out a ZOE max on the test server - I got my *** handed to me. ZOEs go down easy. If you see a ZOE turn and run, CHASE THEM DOWN! They're almost dead. Look people - every thread like this is really just saying the same thing "I want all of the empires to be the same. I don't like to have REAL differences between the empires - it should just be different color schemes." That's ridiculous. You people need to learn to take the good with the bad and learn the play style of your empire. Don't expect to act exactly like the enemy an have the same results. Go play BF4 if that's what you want.
????? We're talking about the NC, not about me. If you still want to compare ESF damage, you're just doing it wrong. The reaver deals more damage per bullet.
True still it has to be heavily certed to have a chance to put that bullet in to good use. Stock scythe/mossie is leaps and bounds more agile. Anything NC is either overspecialised, broken/nerfed/terrible development idea or requires heavy investment of certs to get performance similiar to what other factions get paying much less in terms of SC or time. I don't think there is a SINGLE Planetside niche where NC has to spend less certs. Lets look at MAXes. TR gets an AI/Fracture right arm and he can start quickly farm kills for other upgrades. VS gets replaces arm and gets ZOE 1 and can farm even better than TR. NC needs to replace both arms, buy extended mags. To be able to kill stuff reliably. Still you need to get slugs+shield to reach same performance other maxes get.
You forget a p , bro ^o^ fixed it for you. I dont want to rage...so please dont be angry at me :/ I think that the nc max is a pure support oriented unit. Not as the TR and VS one, the NC Max depends ...no , has to depend on his teammates. The TR and VS maxes on this part have the choice in going of alone or staying with their mates. I often play between my NC and TR Chara, i dont see our men maxing alone that often. ...Or even it isnt like that on Cobalt. As I said...i dont want to rage, so im apologising if this makes someone angry.
You're not ********, at first glance what you says makes sense and one would think it works that way. Unfortunately, out on the battlefield, the combined variations on ADS and Hipfire values of muzzle velocity, recoil, cone of fire, bloom, target vector, mag size, rate of fire, reload time, and effective distance that all impact chance to hit and sustained damage. Chances are if a NC shoots at the hit box for a infantry head, they have a better chance of hitting the first shot but beyond that? Their chances lower significantly ... and they are probably sitting still or moving slowly to boot and with the way lag compensation and client side hit detection works, that means they are more likely to be shot at than someone moving around cover faster. And make no mistake, PS2 head shot kills are about consistently sustained damage in a small grouping or a lucky aggregated value, which is very much down to the weapon characteristics that is available, not just good aim on the part of the player. The results? https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/stats-stats-and-more-stats-nc-hardmode.150797/ https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2...stats-and-stats-nc-hardmode-version-2.155156/ https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/weapon-recoil-and-cof-plots-new.84847/ https://forums.station.sony.com/ps2/index.php?threads/weapon-recoil-plots.74987/ I recall another useful tool that would help gauge DPS of the different weapons with variable accuracy as well but I am having trouble find that link at the moment, sorry. I hope that helps explain why a higher damage per round is consistently out weighed by the other weapon characteristics up until a weapon is a One Hit Kill damage value and rounds that have consistent AoE damage in the case of explosive ordinance having a larger effective coverage, then its no longer about sustained damage and chances to hit are improved by larger holes that may hit the target.
Can someone please do me the privilege of linking the video the OP brought up in addition to the time they said "If your waiting for NC buffs you should probably switch factions." I want to hear them say it.
1) Not true. In every battle 3-4 NC MAXes are play. 2) This is true. 3) Not ture. NC very good support MAXes, but most have bad MAXes play expirience and run from any small bullet and not guard their engeneers and medics, not using his bodys as tank. This is why - when you start repair random NC MAXes - 7 from 10 situation - you are dead man. 4) ??? How you chase ZOE MAX if NC MAX speed slower than normal infantry run and for sure in tvice slower then ZOE?
so much whine and it shows so much tunnel vision from people. If you can't explain a proper reason of why something is bad no one will listen. Can't explain properly shut up take a class in writing or something. NC have good stuff. But in a game like this 1vs1 tests and VR room checks are USELESS . So what does one do? Well easy instead of being standard ****** rushing trough a battle stand back and observe a few of them. Play on both sides a few times to get a grip of the weapons and then make a judgement. Whiny kids that can't L2P and only whine because they suck can take a hike. So to the problem at hand. TR faction is good and inviting for team play. It's good for aggressive play styles. And very forgiving. allows for good mobility and less need of logistics. Also their close, mid and long ranged abilities blend with each other. NC is the other way around it's reliant on team play but doesn't seem to encourage it. It's good for defensive play styles. Very punishing for mistakes. It's slow and bulky and very reliant on logistics.( And yes NC tend to suck at logistics) And their abilities on the range scale are very separated and defined. (hard mode) VS lands in between It has the strength of both sides. but also both of their weaknesses. The entire faction screams adaptability. So where does NC draw the short straw in all this. Well that is easy. As a faction the NC units does not stack in force very well. And of all 3. Their faction is the least situation adaptive force. For now. we don't know what future updates, Vehicles and weapons will give.
