August 6, 2025 - Summer Bravo Event - PC Update [Discussion]

    Summer is in full swing and this week we are releasing the second part of our series of summer events. The infiltrator rework PTS update is still being worked on and we appreciate everyone's feedback! If you want to check out the infiltrator rework and give us feedback about it, head on over to our PTS Patch Notes for the full scoop!


    All servers will be down for our second summer update maintenance tomorrow 8/6 @ 6AM PDT / 3PM CEST. ~ 3 Hour downtime. The following additions and fixes will be updated to the PC client.

    Bug: The Avoidance implant is now restricted only to the engineer class. This is also currently present on the latest PTS build.

    PLEASE just roll the patch back ASAP!
    It's literally (for once this word isn't used ironically) unplayable.
    Constantly getting killed by players anywhere far away out of nowhere because of the insane desync.
    Shooting at bodies but no hitmarkers (because they're desynced).
    It's atrocious.

    Sporadic who is invisible to who,
    some character models and hitboxes are stuck, meaning they're visible, but don't move and don't take damage
    you can cap points while invisible to other players
    you cannot shot invisible playermodels
    you can kill invisible playermodels with mines if they step on it

    It is gamebreaking Priority 1

    Yeah, Wainwright needs a fix ASAP it's totally broken at the moment and not playable.

    Yep. As infiltrator I still could hack terminals. But the surprise came when I shot at opponents I couldn´t hit them. Then I discovered that they can walk through the air (somone running across a plain but 10m above ground). Shooting at them useless. Another one running straight into my direction - distance around 30 m decreasing. Also in the air. A bug? The new nerfed infiltrator? I hope not.

    Good the new event has max suit stuff, I like vehicles but... then the fight goes indoors and you cant take them.

    dalie missions should max class thrown in as well or combine with heavy assult being they have simmilar roles, get so many kills damage so many vehicles take so much damage.

    Very poor not to address working on a fix as soon as you can for Wainright. I think a few people just quit the game for ever this evening :(

    Heya, I replied to palyers on the forums about this. We are looking into these reports but made a little tweak to the server today. If you can check tonight if you still get desync then let me know.

    The server desync is still on and still unplayable... many are reporting people accusing of hacks to...

    The game is broken. People are getting one-shot without any shots being fired. Sundys appear in the air and prevent all other vehicles from appearing, generators spend their time being deactivated, activated, deactivated, and activated in a loop without any players nearby... It's ridiculous.
    Le jeu est cassé. Des gens se font one shot sans qu'aucun coup de feu ne soit donné. Des disperseurs apparaissent dans les airs et empêchent tous les autres véhicules d'apparaître, des générateurs passent leur temps à se faire désactiver, activer, désactiver et activer en boucle sans qu'aucun joueur ne soit à côté,... C'est n'importe quoi.

    How can you leave a blocking issue untouched for two freaking days straight... The game is unplayable. And it will be unplayable permanently if you keep this up as there will be no more players left.

    Are we certain that avoidance being restricted to engineer isnt an intentional, but not spoken about, part of upcoming reworks?

    Engineers are the trapper + tech specialists. They would have the "defusal" or "blueprint" knowledge of traps and how to avoid or disarm them etc

    It makes perfect sense that they would reduce the infiltrator's ability to avoid one of the few counters people actively use. and just as much sense that they would limit the implant to engineers, whom have infil countering tools by class design.

    If, and only if, this is intentional it shows some effort on the dev's part to actually make mines a more viable infil counter AND a more effective asset across trapping scenarios versus all classes.

    The avoidance implant is used far too much, by far too many players, across all classes, almost always in conjunction with the sensor shield implant.

    That implant combo enables everyone to "ignore recon" and "ignore traps" , essentially ruining the utility aspects of engineer and infiltrators respectively.

    Would be comparable to wearing ( "your weapons bypass overshields" implant ) and ( "enemy medics cant heal within 30 meters of your character" implant )

    in all honesty neither of those implants should have been given to the community to begin with. most implants are wonky.

    I still remember the day implants were implemented, I refused to use any for about a year, protesting the concept entirely due to the insanely low drop rates, and complete lack of consideration as to how it would impact the game and its future.
