Maybe it's just the Emerald NC, being from 'Mericuh and everything, but here's what I notice. When the NC take a base, if they taunt, it's likely going to have something to do with 'liberating', 'bringing freedom' or crushing those 'commie/vanu bastards'. When they win an alert, they shout 'FREEEDOOOOMMMM' and 'SPACE AMERICA', will probably play extremely loud victory music over prox chat and typically have fireworks parties where they cluster together like a winning sports team. Hell I know I do this - I'm particularly fond of calling the TR "Communist scum". Now is it just me, or is this rah-rah-patriotic-act-like-we-re-actually-fighting-for-a-cause behaviour prevalent mostly with the NC? Rarely do I see the TR or VS shout faction-themed messages in chat or get so into their faction. I mean they used to at launch but not anymore - it seems only the NC still do this kind of thing. Am I wrong?
On Cobalt I see mostly Vanu doing this and NC replying sounding like they're quite tired of our ****. TR currently are just the very silent XP piñata and NC just cry about everything like usual.
On Miller after an alert is won by the VS all Vanu warpgates + the last taken base on the locked continent are covered in fireworks, constantly jumping peeps and the incredibly annoying medic calls and taunts for at least 20 mins. That is on top of the thousands purple tracers in the skies originating from every VS player without a wep with cool fireworks effect ofc. ... 2 bad resupply xp is capped
VS throw the best warp gate parties, lasher roman candles and bight lasers mixed with flash bangs and fireworks. people spamming bad music over proxy. its like rave.
I love it...if it annoys you, noone forces you to stay. Some days ago someone played Kraftwerk, which I don't find bad music at all...But most warpgate raves I miss, so I dunno what the average music quality is.
Emerald NC hosts similar warpgate parties after most victories; Colored smoke placed by squad leads, beacons down, smoke 'nade spam, EMP 'nades, flashbangs, concussions, fireworks, playing of, "We Will Rock You" and, "We Are The Champions" are common favorites, and hundreds of screeeeee missiles.
No, I just picked a Faction and stuck to it, don't really care for the lore behind the factions, although it is interesting.
Personally if you ask me this ps2 "lore" can go f**k itself (the originals lore is WAYYY better, mainly because its unique and doesn't try to be like everything else). But for you who think your vs/ nc has the best celebrations, you aint ever seen nothing. About 2 weeks after the amerish revamp the connery TR had easily one of the closest world biolab alerts. 10 mins left we had 1 biolab. In those ten mins we took allaitum, mani, rasnhu. With one min left we saved yimir with 0:00 left on defence. Then we proceded to beat the NC by capping xelas with 2 secs left. After party consisted of every leader putting their beacon and smoke on the southwestern pad on xelas, followed by every person pulling a gal. We then proceded to crash them into the NC warpgate and outpoping the 48+ there 4:1.
VS have plenty of spandex and papa vanu related taunts, and as mentioned before, we have the best epilepsy-inducing warpgate parties. Sounds like the VS in the lore, right?
