Anyone think a Relaunch is on the horizon?

Just curious what others think on this. Going by the recent tweets , playstation version, new continent, resource revamp, and finally the addition of meta game in the near future (next few months) that we will see a planetside 2 relaunch. Slap a new name on it like Planetside 2: World Conquest and start a new marketing campaign to revitalize interest in it

Thoughts?

Impossible to relaunch, we have never left open beta

I don't know about a full blown relaunch (although I do think there could be a benefit from it), but I do think the launch of PS4's version will be seen as a chance to revitalize the PC platform as well.

Probably this, all the ads will say "PLANETSIDE 2, NOW ON PS4*"

I've been saying it since they announced release date. I think they will re-launch it on PC in Q2-Q3 2015, when the game will be in decent state.

IMO the game will die soon or goes back to CB.

This. There will certainly be a launch for the ps4 but it would make sense to also push the pc version at the same time.

Am i the only one who thinks that if PS2 goes live on Playstation 4 with all these issues noone will be left in SOE soon afterwards ?

Well, they just started with new TV ads over here, so they're probably trying to hype up the PS4 release.

The ads didn't have great footage though, wasn't really impressed.

Yeah, I think a relaunch might do the game some good. A kind of "let's forget the past year or so, let's call it a post-beta testing and development phase or whatever, it doesn't matter, now the game's actually finished and ready to go" kinda thing.

Sure, that's why they laid off a large percentage even before these issues where brought to the PS4...........But we'll see

Couldn't hurt to actually advertise the game, regardless of the platform they're pushing.

said it from the start you had foundation to build on take what worked from planetside 1 and redo the things that didn't. we just spent the last year or so relearning what the devs of ps1 learned in the first 6 months of the game..... that was 10ish years ago we are going backwards how.
