Anyone else sorry they chose TR now?

I still have a higher K/dr on my TR then my VS or NC alts. but i dont go making up lies about bullet drop and recoil to make my VS main seem underpowered.

Well, I to tried the TR at first...I wanted to fight for the good guys, didnt feelright being the rebel or psychotic techno geeks....

but in both PS1 and PS2 I found the TR guns quite underwhelming a fair bit of the time. I did go to the NC and was love at first sight both times. I regreted not being NC the first time around, esp in PS2, where I already knew the NC were the hammer faction.

Ofc as ive L2P ive gone back to the TR and I now have a TR BR51 and NC BR61. I sport 5KD on both and my TR has a 50pt advantage in SPM over my NC.

While I still notice the insane power of NC weapons and get a bit peeved when I unload on NC with my TR guns and still lose, I dont feel TR are so UP that they need buffing and crap lol.

I can say for a fact, playing the NC for a long time, then going back to TR sure made TR guns feel overall a bit more powerful to me. I noticed the lack of recoil on TR guns vs the NC that kick like mules. I also adjusted my playstyle to be more TR favorable, CQC.....instead of mounting 3.4x and grips on my TR guns, I use Lasers and 1x. it works better.

Alot of people saying TR suck are prolly just people trying to use TR in an all rounder manner....TR are a CQC in ur face dakka nation. NC are the all rounders and VS...they are just somewhere in the middle.

I've put about $300 into my BR 100 TR. The day I went VS I never looked back. Better LMG's, functioning vehicle secondaries, potentially overpowered ESRL, no Empire-Specific ability that immobilizes you in a FIRST PERSON SHOOTER WHERE MOBILITY IS KING. No regrets.

Little sorry I spent real $ on TR weapons that suck now.

However I've been ejoying my NC and VS characters more now. I'd have never switched if they never nerfed all my TR toys. I guess I'll take the good with the bad.

I had the same impressions. I didn't like NC guns, but VS guns were great. The low recoil, instant reloads, and low bloom had me sold.

Oh heck yeah, out of all the MAXes, the TR have the best one. Most dakka and the best looking...atleast once you put Ogre armor and the face plate on it.

NC MAX looks cooler, but it sucks alot more.

VS guns? low bloom!? really!?

That was my experience. I could hold down the trigger for more than a split second and still hit my target. I generally don't get that with TR weapons.

NC guns on the other hand have atrocious bloom that I just can't be bothered to deal with.

I noticed VS guns blooming like instantly. I burst fire my guns alot, esp on TR, but my time in VS....the bloom was all over the place, esp when I try to ADAD....

Don't ever be sorry for playing a game on "hard" difficulty.

that is because they do have a decent amount of bloom. its the horizontal recoil on TR guns that make the bloom seem worse to some people.

I have three characters, one from each faction, each on a different server (recently deleted my Woodman VS and recreated him on Ceres). I have to say that I prefer the feel of TR and NC weapons over those of the VS.

TR weapons are very easy to use and the recoil is lower than on NC, but they are far less rewarding.
NC weapons are difficult to use, but when I get in the zone I can easily go on massive kill streaks.
VS weapons are pretty!

I comes down to how the weapons feel for you. For the longest time I was a Loyal VS, complaining about VS weapons, complaining about ZOE nerfs (still do, even on the receiving end of ZOE MAXs) and complaining about just how OP the NC were and how easy the TR weaspons were to use. Eventually I decided to vote with my money, srtarted playing TR and NC and left my VS alone. Although it feels like I doing better with my TR and NC characters, I'm actaully performing about the same overall. ****, even the weapon stats are so similar as to make no real difference (you'll probably have a higher ping than the difference in TTK).

It all comes down to your play-style and how the weapons feel for you. If you don't like TR weapons, try some of the NS weapons, or play for another faction. There's another two to choose from.

Then it must be the weapons!

I still catch myself wanting to blame the weapons at times, despite having played all three factions. Then I remember that its not the weapons: its me. I may have had the wrong gun for that situation. I may have derped up a battle. I made a mistake, or the dude just got the best of me. But it certainly wasnt the guns.

TR Recoil is even worse when one makes the mistake of putting a zoom scope higher hten 2x on a TR gun.

I'm not sorry I chose Terran Republic. I LOVE THE TR! LOYALTY UNTO DEATH! STRENGTH IN UNITY! However, I do have characters on the other two factions on two servers.

NC MAXs are on par for anti-vehicle duties and with AA being from NS weapons are pretty much identical. However, as anit-infantry they are highly specialised, where as the VS and TR MAXs are more rounded. I like being able to instagib whole squads with my extended mag Hacksaws, so I *really* hope they don't change the NC MAX shotguns (wouldn't turn down a free buff though). That said, I also like being able to Lockdown and fill a corridor with lead; or run around glowing like a giant neon sign and taking more damage (wait, no, not like, the other thing ).

As far as appearance goes, The VS MAX needs Ogre Armour to look good, the others look good out of the box, but are still enhanced by cosmetics.

TR MAX looks like Big Bird off sesame street when its stock, I think its kinda ugly. But cosmetics make it look cool.

VS MAX, its just ugly imo.

NC MAX looks best out of the box, looks really beefy with cosmetics.

The biggest problem with the NC MAX is that I can't decide which armour/helmet combo to go for, they're all pretty much awesome.

Nah, at this point I think TR is at their strongest in a very very long while, and I am very happy I stuck with 'em.
