Anyone else bothered by how effective AA MAXES are against infantry?

    If anything it's more of a sign that the other MAX weapons are a bit on the weak side. Everyone's favorite shotgun wielding rampage bot excluded, of course.

    They are pretty disadvantaged. The TTK is pretty high, so unless you're running around with your head cut off, you'll have time to work some magic. LA and HA have it easy since they have access to powerful explosives and methods of avoiding damage. All classes but infiltrators have access to C4. They're certainly not easy pickings, but you aren't boned as if they had AI weapons.

    I would be embarrassed if an AA max took me down. I would not go to the forums and announce it either.

    A pulsar LMG is more effective for AI than dual bursters, so no. Just another random, unfounded QQ that was probably based on the OP dieing a few moments before he made this thread.

    I have dual bursters and they barely do any damage to infantry. You can still kill them, but the enemy will do a ton of damage to you.

    No, I often die to close infantry as an AA MAX. I only kill them if they are low on health to begin with.

    Actually I don't think they are effective enough. They should explode when they come anywhere near a flying light assault and do heavy damage since they were meant for taking down flying units. Also if VS get their MAX defining ability of jetpacks again it should hit them extremely hard as well.

    They required direct hit, they fire slowly, they aren't "that" precise and they aren't doing so much damage either. To believe Burster is op against infantry is ******ness. Giving something to do and hope for during down time for a AA MAX/ligntning is actually good for the game in general as it increase the value of AA and the usage of it.

    If anything, increasing the precision of AA would be a big boost to its versatility and actually good for gameplay and making AA more interesting. Decreasing the AoE burst damage might be needed but increase in versatility and interesting mechanic is a must.

    I wonder if burster MAX just puts out a lot of flinch? Or if you could airburst it on enemies around corners like a lasher...well...

    I will tell you what kills me...I fly a Mossy and my rockets can't kill a MAX to save my life. Oh I hit them all the time with my rockets but to no avail. Yet when I'm in my MAX just two rockets from an enemy, either one, I'm dead. Why don't my rockets do damage like the NC or the VS. As a matter of fact why are the TR battle tools so nurfed and the VS and NC get buffs. Tanks, Planes, rockets, rifles so on. Seems that the TR is for those players that can do more with less, and those makers of this game mostly play NC or VS. I really don't even see any attempt at balance MAX, Tanks, PLANES or whatever. I will fight harder and become a better player regardless of the technicians inability to create a proper fair balance in this game.

    What an unfortunate post. I guess I'm lucky the trash isn't piling up as much on the forums, this thread is mostly clean feedback.

    I don't really care for Children's Online Daycare, I would be playing that if I wanted to destroy everything with one singular unit.

    I suppose I've just had a few unlucky encounters, it's mostly VS MAXes I run into this problem with. Though from what I've seen of their AI weapons bursters might actually be an upgrade in their case.

    Yep, go ahead and become a better player, because if you think the Mossie rockets are inferior to the other factions' you are already skipping down disappointment alley whistling 'Boy, is the grass greener!'.

    As to the OP: no way. Grabbing an AA max makes you super reliant on others, extremely slow, and severely limits target selection. I find it laughable that you think a burster vs an HA fight might be fair. Two rockets would educate you i guess...or some LMG rounds.

    Not at all, there is no no issue here, Bursters are not easy to kill people with. I can be point blank an it takes ages to kill someone with them. Go find something els to demand be nerfed
