You are not the sharpest tool in the shed are you? I already said I have a VS toon and I can clearly see that a gun like the Orion is better at cqc and medium range then any gun I have played on TR or NC. Anybody that rolls a VS and knows how to play will quickly come to the same conclusion. That is when you VS fan bois start trotting out with numbers and pointing to this and that when clearly anyone who plays the games know that the numbers add up in VS favor.
  2. MurderBunneh

    Sure buddy.
  3. Haya jii san

Orion is better in what way ? 50 bullets being too much ? Fire modes' variety redundancy (since it has none) ? Attachments variety (Also non-existant) ?

I can start spamming %^&load of crap as you do. I don't give a rat's azz what you do and how you perform.
"Anybody that rolls a VS and knows how to play" ... Your statistic database is mind boggling ! You are not the only person around who can pull data from your %^&. Get another one to help you with facts & arguments, since you apparently are spiritually lacking.
"I have TR and NC toon and I get so more kills with those weapons in cqc, medium and all of a sudden longe range. My killz are mad so are ma skiilz" ...

Want more ? Now go think what you did and come back with tears of regret ><

We lost so how can we be OP?

You can make any result you want out of statistics. I mean I could get all my outfit to roll another faction and meet me at point X then just continue to slay them without them even firing a shot.

    Proves what?
  5. Arsinek

God these OP threads are so stupid. Im not sure whether I should blame the players or the devs though.
  6. Diiiii

i dont get these topics i played NC during the beta switch to TR/VS on live and both TR and VS ar easymode weapons NC weapons ar the weapons that need Real skill to get good with

    1. T9 CARV(TRLMG)
    Damage: 143 @ 10m125 @ 65m
    Reload: 5.4s/6.2s
    Capacity: 100 (300)
    Recoil: 0.4 ↑, ← = →, 12 ↓, 2x
    ADS: 0.5x (movement)
    CoF:0.1/0.4/3 ----- 0.1/0.2 ----- 3/4/7/7 ----- 2.5/3 ----- ADS: 0.05, HIP: 0.1
    RPM: 750
    Velocity: 600
    Drop: 11.25

    2. Orion(VSLMG)
    Damage: 143 @ 10m112 @ 115m
    Reload: 2.8s/4.6s
    Capacity: 50 (200)
    Recoil: 0.4 ↑, ← = →, 13 ↓, 2.15x
    ADS: 0.75x (movement)
    CoF: 0.1/0.35/3 ----- 0.1/0.2 ----- 2.5/3/7/7 ----- 2/2.5 ----- ADS: 0.05, HIP: 0.1
    RPM: 750
    Velocity: 615
    Drop: 0

    There they are, all stats.

It's quite plain that they're almost identical.

But we were talking about magazine size and reload speed, so let's find out who got the better trade:
If we take the magazine size and divide it by the reload speed, we get a number which represents the number of bullets you get per second of reload - let's see shall we?

    CARV (short): 99/5.4 = 18.33~~
    Long: 100/6.2 = 16.13~~

    Orion (short): 49/2.8 = 17.5
    Long: 50/4.6 = 10.87~~

What's that? You get 18.33 bullets per second of reload with the carv, but only 17.5 with the Orion?
And just look at that long reload, you'd better never run out of ammo while shooting those 49 shots.
Then there are all manner of variables such as the ability to shoot longer. (I.E. the ability to miss more without penalty)

Here, look at the stats yourself - you've clearly never bothered.
    • Up x 2

Correct me if I'm wrong but that "Drop" stat right there. I see the TR has a drop of 11,25 and the VS a drop of 0? So that means the VS don't suffer damage drop over distance?
  9. voody

No, drop means bullet drop over distance. VS weapons do not have bullet drop in full auto firemode. There is, however, a phenomenon inherent in weapons that allow the player to choose between full auto and single shot firemodes. Once you switch to single shot the same amount of bullet drop that the other two factions experience suddenly occurs in those particular VS weapons, too. As far as I know it is unclear if this is a bug or intended.
  10. Zcuron

    Damage falloff is expressed under "damage";
The CARV starts at 143 up to 10 meters, and drops down to 125 minimum at 65m.
The Orion also starts at 143 up to 10 meters, and drops down to 112 minimum at 115m.

The VS weaponry generally has a slower damage falloff, but settles at a lower minimum - usually giving them the edge at around 50-65 meters, prior to which there's little difference. After that the TR weaponry usually gets the edge.

Or put another way, the bullets required to kill are slightly displaced in the VS's favour by a meter or so, increasing up to 65m, at which point it starts going back in the TR's favour, usually equalizing at 75m, after which the VS is at a disadvantage.

    What would I do, if I "had the power"?;
    1. Lower VS bullet velocity.
This would serve to compensate for the lack of bullet drop, effectively trading one form of compensation for another.

    2. Make the "bullets per second of reload" equal.
Having fewer bullets per magazine already has negative effects beyond this "bullets per second" stuff, there's no need to compound the difference by having a strictly disadvantageous trade.

If you pay attention to your ammo count, it's often possible to find a place to reload safely, even if it takes a few seconds.

I would like to see more options for customizing this though, smaller mags with faster reload would make for an interesting attachment to have alongside extended magazines, which I think many more guns could have available.

Imagining such a thing on the Orion would be funny though, 25 bullets and a 1.4 second short reload...
