I was in one of the larger NC outfits but often ran around solo because I was not fond of the way they operated. The whole "military simulation" style outfits just don't do it for me and I'm looking for something different. I have always been in high end guilds regardless of the game and consider myself a serious player. Basically what I am looking for is an outfit that is composed of skilled players that enjoy running around together and just tear things up without the extreme amount "strategy" that the zerg guilds revolve around. Rollin with an outfit and kickin butt while having normal/joking conversation is my idea of a good time; not having to sit completely silent and having orders barked at me by some wannabe armchair general. I'm not sure if any outfit like this exists but if anyone knows of one please post it here. Thanks
Not sure. FUGK on the TR is kinda like that. but they are really small and only recruit from the leaderboards. Generally any advanced outfit is going to operate in a military style simply because it is the best suited. By military style I mean a merit based, authoritarian structure with clear leaders and clear followers, and generally individuals make decisions rather then groups. In the case of BRSN we use military tactics as an inspiration, but operate more like a sports team, with coaches and captains. Armchair generals are common, but a good leader who is simultaneously respectful while commanding is hard to find on the internet often due to lack of social skills. We've found this model effective because in truth video games now resemble sports more then hobbies albeit with a nerdy stigma. You practice for a month, develop the muscle memory, buy the best equipment (read computer stuff) and become very knowledgeable about your role. Really, the distinction between a PS2 player debating weapon choices, and a golfer debating golf clubs, or a hockey player finding the right stick is increasingly small. This sort of environment fosters practice, which creates a group of better players with good teamwork. Our outfit is much like what you said, except during scheduled operations where comm discipline is in effect, and I am often the guy barking out the commands we've practiced. I think you are going to have trouble finding an outfit like the one you described simply because playing relaxed like that doesn't foster a high skill level in a game where the respawn timer is 10 seconds, and things happen very quickly. Pretty much the leadership and the skill come in a package together when looking for an outfit. As i've said, the only outfit I can think of offhand on Jaeger that would fit the bill for casual playstyle but highly skilled is Pretentious, or possibly ARGO on the TR. For the NC character I play as sometimes, I have not heard or seen an outfit like that. NC on Jaeger is more like ETHOS, LEGN or Longbow for skilled players, and while they are each a little different with a different focus (ETHOS likes to use VTOLs and aircraft, LEGN likes to use shock infantry and some armor), they all generally have the same professional authoritarian style. Perhaps you'd like NCUN (NC United) who seems to straddle a more middle of the road approach between the more hardcore outfits, and the more casual outfits with skilled players being used as swiss army knives rather then specialists. Skillset is a very relaxed and friendly outfit leader who would probably be happy to have another skilled member on his roster.
I really appreciate the very well written reply. Like you; the only outfit I have seen fit the description of this style is FUGK which is no help to an NC player lol. I'm not even looking for a casual outfit per say, just one that never spends time ghost capping and is constantly in the heat of battle laying down the law. That's how I run when I'm solo and rack up plenty of kills and certs but it would just be nice to run with a few others who enjoy that playstyle.
Think Longbow and NCUN are the only real options here. Not too serious, Not too unserious, Not very big, Not extremely small.
Unfleshed, you might want to roll with us, because I think we're exactly the type of outfit you're looking for. We Death Legion pride ourselves in our victories and skill, but more importantly to know is that we don't center ourselves around purely that. Our skill and natural ability to smoothly cooperate are just small pieces of motivation that keeps us going. We play to have fun, period. If we're not having fun, than we stop what we're doing and look for other ways to have fun. This doesn't mean we're half-*** lazy. We most of the time have fun kicking ***, and it is absolutely possible to mix in a little seriousness with some casual fun. Absolutely possible. We kick *** because we know each other well and therefore we stick very tight as a group. We're mostly infantry and gals, but we also have great pilots who like flying and no one minds because they roll with us. Due to the *** terrain, we don't play MBTs as much, so we roll in sundies often. We played this game long enough to have everyone know the basics, and that goes to say that everyone tends to lead every now and then. Not I nor all of our usual leaders don't *** or scream at people over ts3 to do this or to do that. We work as a unit. To illustrate: When I want to order a flank or another strike separately from the main task, I say "We need a boot up their ***, let's get all the LA's to sneak around with C4's and rip them apart. Sundies first. The point we just secured is under attack by a few ground units, could we get our fighter pilots take care of that?" Though we do run ops, and they tend to be more serious, but by no means do we largely change our manner of speaking or tone while leading. Usually we don't like ***-tight people who operate like a boot camp staff sergeant screaming spit before everyone's faces, but they tend leave on their own accord and find another more serious outfit. We also don't tend to keep ******** and disrespecting individuals. We're mostly composed of very mature, laid-back, and tolerant individuals who just want to crush heads in this game. Individually each of us may not have the best K/D ratio, but collectively we operate at full capacity and that's where we shine the most. Yep, LEGN is probably what you are looking for. We arent military style and we arent casual. We fall in between, and we get stuff done...most importantly, we have a good time doing it. I semi-randomly chose Death Legion and I am very glad I did so. Ive been with them for a couple months now and have enjoyed it. Theres a level of flexibility that many other military-strict outfits do not have.

We enjoy cooperation and teamwork and try to implement strategy to an extent. Right now there isn't much metagame but eh what can you do. We do enjoy taking territory and most often than not we end up just reinforcing the main forces and operating peripherally to those big, zerg-like outfits. We have dedicated Reaver pilots, armor, and infantry (like me!). But when we run Ops we can really stomp the TR and VS. We aren't milsim or anything like that, but when we are running Ops it's sometimes necessary for me to ask members to pause the chitchat since that clearly has little to do with combat.
