Any outfits that do advanced infantry training?

I'm almost br 100, but my infantry skills leave much to be desired with a slowly rising kdr of only 1.2. I've been getting too many mocking hate /tells from the new guys from mattherson for me to stomach and i want to better myself as a player. Lolpodding and tank farming is too easy and unrewarding. I want to get back into infantry combat.

Well, if I were you I would reroll to TR and come give The Cohort [xCOx] a try. We're an all infantry based outfit that prides itself on teaching all its members to excel in infantry combat. We can help you on your aiming, strafing, weapon/loadout selection, and most importantly, awareness.

We have multiple ways to help teach, with a large part being 1v1,2v1, and team duels on test server. I will tell you up front, you will need a decent KDR, SPM, and vocal/teamwork skills just to get in. However, in the initial interview we're good about looking at more than one's skill level in deciding on giving them a shot or not.

If you still feel the need to stay NC, I can't help you much there, don't know many NC outfits that are more that zergfits.

    Maybe this: http://www.reddit.com/r/EmeraldPS2/comments/2b7ick/hstls_general_training_operation/

If you want to 'git gud' though there's really only one way to do it: get your frames per second up, your mouse sensitivity down, enlarge your minimap and zoom it in, and just play a lot. I really don't think there are any shortcuts. 1v1s on the test server are supposedly beneficial so if that's something you're interested in I'd be willing to 'spar' with you there.

My outfit Quantum Dawn specializes in infantry combat mostly. We do have armor and air dedicated members but everyone are mostly ground-pounders. We teach and use room breaching techniques, flanking maneuvers using a base of fire, pincers, feign retreat and counter attacks.

Now while I know Hasteras means well but sparing 1v1 is not beneficial to this game. You need to learn when to attack and when to defend. This game is not a twitch shooter like BF4 and CoD. You need to run with a squad that sticks together and works together. That is what outfit teamwork is all about and should focus on. If you are worried about kdr then use cover all the time. Don't just run and run and run and run. Move from cover to cover just like on a real battlefield. You will notice a difference in your kdr faster than frames per second and mouse sensitivity.

damann22, what was that base at 1:05 in your recruitment video? (nice video btw)

Consortium on Miller is an Infantry only Outfit which will train it's members, me personally I was not a great player having a K/D of like 0.5 four months ago now the guys have got me at 1.0 and I never log out of a session below 2.5, here's some of our Infantry training videos.

What I meant was not beneficial to him learning to become a better soldier. This game is about different 1vs1 among different skill levels. Run with a squad that will play with you and not around you.

That was the interlink facility that is no longer available on Hossin. When Hossin was first released for us to see we used to practice at the interlink facility. Its a fun base that I hope they bring back very soon.

it looked massive and it also looked like it had special new area types on it, i hope to see its return as well

1v1 skills are relevant to this game no matter how you try to spin it. If you want to be a good infantry player, it starts with your ability to win gunfights. I've been in outfits that had amazing squad cohesion and team play but no one could win gunfights so it hardly mattered.

I'm not trying to say teamplay is unimportant or uneffective. Just that your assertion that 1v1s aren't beneficial is kind of silly.

The way I am spinning it is that you sparring 1vs1 (like I said in my original post) is only going to waste both of your time. Its a nice gesture but you need to have at least a squad vs squad to make it beneficial. 1vs1 is just going to kill then wait for the other person to spawn and search around for him or her. Then when you find each other its not likely to be face to face but one flanking the other.

Instead if you want to work on your 1vs1 skills play pointman with a squad storming the capture point. In my outfit we always have a heavy or max run point while everyone else falls behind. That person in front usually gets half dozen 1vs1 fights before we cap.

Overall, focus on positioning and situational awareness. Let the twitch skills come later. If you always play with your enemy's angle on you in mind, you'll get through most situations.

Do you mean intense finger twitching for 5 hours? I know plenty who do that.
  15. crusaderx11

i started seeing how close i could get and last to enemy spawns playing as a light assault. i found a couple of new sweet spots where kills are easy while fighting in bio labs

Bud, you don't know what you're talking about. Your post has "zerg" written all over it.

Its really simple, if you want to be good at infantry in this game, get your mouse sensitivity right so you can hit what you're aim at and get your awareness better. Knowing you can shoot and kill, with a headshot, 95% of the population will make you a terror on the battlefield. Sprinkle a little awareness, and congrats, you're a beast.

Also, KDR does not always = skill. There are many ways to easily pad your KDR without being good/great at the game.
