Wonder if anything is going to be done about it any time soon. I can't drive, i can't fly. getting rather annoying
QQ It's ok. Have a tissue. Maybe some day you'll earn the 30 certs to mineguard. I know that getting to 30 certs can be difficult in between the tears but I have faith that you can drop an ammo pack at the warp gate and eventually earn enough.
Mineguard sunderer, as suggested above. They're PS2's mineclearing vehicle. Get your squad to pull one, drive right on through, minefield cleared.
placing tank mines takes about 1000 times more effort than spamming lock-on missiles from 500 meters away
oh god HAHAHA, I will give you credit, this is a funny way to change tactic while demanding nerfs to something that is perfectly balanced. yet as always completely false. If you dont have mine guard eq its your fault, if you dont have NVG on your sundy its your fault if you dont have 1-2 gunners in your sundy "Helping YOU" defend it, its your fault.... I dont even use mine guard an I die to mines, be it AT or AP once or twice a day at most, that is insignificant numbers.
Grab an engi with a mossie, fly to a back line base and make your way to the air pad, drop 3 anti tank mines on the pads... now that's metagame!
This would be fine if mines were reliably visible. They often clip through terrain or simply don't render. Can't clear a mine field if you don't see the mine field.
I tried this thing out the other day called.. teamwork, I think that was how it's pronounced anyhow. We used infantry to clear/spot mines on some roads, mineguarded Sundies, and not relying on vehicles in order to win. it was a group effort, ultimately paid off. Some people even drove around main roadways to avoid typical mine spots. Deep down though, I have zero love for vehicle spammers.. hell, just last night on Connery, I watched our faction roll out no less than 40 tanks in a zerg.. which is fine if 1 zerg HAS to meet up with another zerg at some forced chokepoint, but that never happens. Until then.. oh well.. no tears for vehicles
good luck convincing the young forum warriors to do that mate. Most believe it is "unfair" to make them use the game systems. they see it as "badz brah" an demand devs play for them.
I was unaware that mines were able to be spammed. I was under the impression that they were costly in resources, could never be equipped from anything but a terminal, and could not be carried in great amounts. Of course I only have a fully certed engineer to test with so I might have missed this meeting.
