That really depends on what NC you're talking about, I personally have 2x the amount of VS kills than I do TR, I guess it must be all those VS I don't fight huh?

DA guys, if it's at all possible, is there way to see faction kills average/total by outfit?

Absolutely! Take the OP. Has comes here with tears running down his face like a baby, so bent out of shape he assumes everyone is against him.

The TR does not need baby who are only happy when they have OP toys.

TE were never the largest (TEST and AT both had higher active member counts), nor were they the best (GOKU had a higher average KDR). The only thing they had going for them was the ability to put a platoon of people on a point and then claim despite all the evidence against them that they were the best.
  4. Eyeklops

Better low pop bonuses would fix this. 50% isn't working? Try 100%, or 200%. Make the carrot big enough and the greedy will come.

It's a strange thing. NC have suffered the same issue on Cobalt for the better part of a year. VS and TR would battle the uncoordinated, low population, low BR NC because they were just too easy pickings not to. NC would rarely win any alert and certainly not during prime time. WDS seems to have turned this around though, NC may not win alerts that get zerged by elite outfits that have floated complete loadouts off of OP weapons to date, but at least these alternative objectives are coordinating the less coordinated.

Well, i say coordinate, even though less than 2 hours ago NC tried to fight their way to defend Hvar with an armour column during a Tech Plant alert via a locked Northgate hex. I almost put my head through my monitor in frustration.

Until SOE properly address under population rewards this is just going to continue to be "a thing".

So many complainers. Your tears shall be collected so the strong can drink them to retain power.

Hey dude, Call of Duty called for you, I think you took it's sense of skill when you left.

Just switch the Waterson, Matterson is a crappy server

I was online a couple hours earlier. We still had Suarva and some territory around Mao. My outfit was trying to push down to Rashnu. We got down to Abandoned NS Offices and started to move on to Howling Pass, but then the VS got multiple platoons of reinforcements and drove us all the way back to Mao. Eventually we pulled out and tried to help Suarva, but that got taken too.

The NC are just the flavour of the month, both the VS and TR have had the same numbers.

I haven't been able to play VS more then once in a blue moon because some of us *are* doing that. But beyond a certain point, you're just spitting into the wind.

The population imbalance continues to snowball because SOE is doing nothing concrete. Tonight, VS had 44%+ population in the second half of the amp station alert. There's just no incentive (XP-wise) for the under-pop faction to stay logged in, and no incentive for killing the highest pop faction (which should give a 25%+ bonus if they are more then 5% ahead of the 3rd faction).

In my opinion, I think that the first WDS really killed the TR population. The TR was winning it, and then a ton of new rules were put into place just to force them to lose it. Before that rule change, TR pop was always either higher, or at the very least equal to NC/VS pop in Waterson. After that rule change, rarely have I ever seen the TR have an over pop, and the population of TR is steadily dropping percentage wise versus the other factions.

The TR used to have an OVER POP. As a TR player, I feel that SOE tried as hard as they could to discourage TR players over the past half a year or so. Numerous nerfs, some unnecessary and cheap shots such as the first wds contributed to the fall in population of the TR.

The only thing that saves us on Waterson is that we are SIGNIFICANTLY more organized than the pop dominant NC, and still better organized in most cases than the runner ups, the VS.

Couldn't have said it better myself. It's simply not worth it. Especially with how the devs have been busy driving us into the ground. As far as I can predict, TR will simply die on Mattherson, it will be a VS/NC server. And VS will dominate simply because of the amount of organized outfits the field. Then NC will get tired of it too.

There are tons of evidence in the form of stream recordings on Buzz's channel that prove how wrong you are. KDR doesn't mean anything.

Sure, if you filter by outfits that have names that contain "Enc", have exactly the same numbers that TE had, and were lead by BuzzCutPsycho.

Even BWC beat TE in facility capture metrics, TEST was #4 globally for user counts (TE wasn't even in the top 10) before we purged inactives, GOKU had higher KDR.... The list goes on but TE were not #1 in any metric outside of ego.
  16. Corewin

You sound kind of salty Roy. lol

Anywayyyyy, feel free to blow up and post stats here all night, but that doesn't change the fact that if the Enclave wanted to do something they would, and there was little anyone could do to stop them. Asides from calling in reinforcements from everywhere to attempt to slow them down.

At first the name of the game was "Take all of the territory, all of the things". Which ended up screwing some members over and keeping them from getting into the larger fights (baby sitting empty bases). So then the game was changed to "Build everything up to a huge fight". Course in the end, there were never large fights, other outfits started ops later to avoid Enclave ops. Boredom out of success.

Had this game started off with a proper meta game (not this endless pointless death match), the Enclave would still be around, and it would have a semi worthwhile goal to have continued playing. People can have all the opinions in the world of Buzz's antics and so on, but that doesn't change the fact that with him and the Enclave gone, the TR no longer had anything significant going for it anymore.

Which is more important, more fun - getting 10 empty bases or defending Crossroads several hours against several platoons of coordinated Vanu outfits? Which meaningless metric will you use here?

KDR proves individual skill in killing enemies, but what's more important, killing a sundie at the cost of your life and hold a base, or farming that sundie for kills?

And I can't believe you use a number of global user accounts in an outfit (and including inactives), especially one which is supported by external community like reddit, with a straight face. Go to reddit and post how bad Enclave is, if you want to rub your ego that much.

And any time TEST wanted to do something we did it. That is the nature of this game. Call it what you want but the nature of hex was that you could #YOLO into a single territory with all of your guys and someone still captured territory around you because they wanted it. Saying that TE was the best at taking territory under Hex is like saying that TE was the best at breathing.

Keep hoping for the game that you want and not trying to play the game as it is. Despite TE's attempts, VS still held Indar for 30+ days in a row multiple times. It wasn't until lattice came out and you guys butt buddied up with Admiral Snuggles that you were able to break the lock, and even then it came to a 2 minute cap.

Even then, VS won a majority of the alerts, held more continent caps, and generally out performed both TR and NC. TE were the only outfit that made us pause, but by no means ever were a challenge. Had they actually attempted to work together with the rest of the TR it would have been radically different.

Actually, it depends. Are you defending a base that is worthless to the progress of an alert and you hold a majority of the objectives? Farm the ever loving **** out of that because you are winning harder by keeping them tied up at that spawn point. The general Planetside population is incredibly bad at leaving a losing fight, but when you force them out they generally make the right decisions. Don't interrupt your enemy when they are making a mistake and all of that
  19. EliteEskimo

If my memory servers correct the VS were able to take Indar because of their late night population that they've pretty much always had. Back then a single faction taking Indar during the day was basically impossible due to one of the other factions interfering. So the VS got Indar during the night, and then when everyone got back on during the day it was very hard for TR/NC take the lock from the VS without TR/NC interrupting. Ya that sounds about right.

Can confirm. Even then it was....infuriating that after such hard battles it was all for nothing, every time they took away the lock during night, and then boasted about it like we see here. Then when defending their gate, when it still was in South-West, resorted to hex crashes only to prevent us from capping that base directly south of their warpgate. Then there was that infamous last stand at Skydock.... ruined by a cheater. And so on. And some nights looked like this (poor underpop VS faction):
