[Suggestion] Allow faction changing within a server on a single account

I would love to see a SC item that allows a person to change their faction as part of their own account, keeping as much of their current investment as is feasible given the change.

Make this something that costs SC, and furthermore has a cooldown - maybe once a week minimum, or even once a month.

    Why?

As server communities grow, we are going to see a shift towards the more organised faction on that server becoming dominant. This will snowball over time, eventually resulting in a server that is boring for everyone. The dominant faction don't get good fights, the lesser factions get farmed.

This was very evident on some of the WoW PvP servers, where in the early days the Horde were dominant. As soon as Blizzard opened up the character reroll thing that let you change factions, people shifted around. Some Alliance players migrated to the horde so they would win, and many of the top Horde PvPers migrated to the Alliance so they would get better quality fights. The result: a self-balancing community that preserved the PvP gameplay.

Planetside2 doesn't need this now, but such things require planning in the codebase from an early day and it is the kind of thing that could well be needed in the future.

That's a very nice idea in theory if the balance in the game wasn't quite as bad as it is. Your idea would kill the NC in roughly one hour on my server.
