Air still overpowered

    Hate to say it as a pay to win myself, but pay to win has really ruined this game. All it comes down to now is which faction has the most money to spend on liberators. TR outnumber us by 7-10% every hour of the day, they are 30% liberator 40% mosquito, 20% vehicle and %10 infantry. They pick a continent and steam roll it like nothing happened. There is nothing anyone can do, you go AA max you get wtf pwned by anti-armor liberators, you try to take out the liberators with air and you get swarmed by mosquitoes, you try to defend a base and get obliterated by liberators. Where does it end? I'm stuck with a bunch of NC who don't put a dime into the game and either stand around like idiots at the warpgate or run around as infantry dying constantly. Why even bother anymore I should just switch until the server is all TR and we just shoot into the sky and ammo pack each other all day.

    Why don't you? There's nothing stopping you from making an alt and trying out the other side for a change.

    I wasn't making a faction balance argument. My point was that when one faction so ridiculously out numbers and out equips another faction all it's going to do is make everyone else get sick of it and join that faction. (exactly what happened on my server) This exp bonus for having the lowest pop is just sad and doesn't account for anything. No one thinks "I want 1 extra xp a kill" they think "wow I can't do jack **** and get killed instantly upon stepping out of spawn by this faction, **** it I'm going to join that faction".

    I dont think Air is OP, but you need to have a big pack of AA-Maxes ready, all the Time. Beeing outnumbered is hard. To counter this you need a realy good Organisationwork. imho

    Dual burster maxes are ridiculously op.
    Try them.

    And get the ext mags certs for extra cheese on top.

    Flying an esf becomes tedious as **** (it possible at all) with just 1 dual burster in the area, and guess what, there's never just one.
    Flying libs is a bit better, but if there's 2-3 maxes (libs themselves are 2-3 men vehicles after all) it gets just as tedious as flying an esf.

    So actually you are not saying that Air is OP, but that higher player count is OP. And you have tossed in a P2W argument in there to...
    To counter overwhelming odds one needs coordination and teamwork. And I do agree on one poinr - XP bonus for being less populated faction is laughable.

    I personally think 'hovering' and instant breaks need to be removed. Instead of hovering you descent till you land and isntead of breaking you slowly lose speed.. It'll make things more challenging for both the air and land units. You will actually have to lead your targets

    Meh imho dual bursters are in a good spot atm. Skyguard still needs a smaller cof and a round speed buff. That or give it and 2 round missile pack as well with both missiles firing @ the same target. Ha GTA needs an acceleration and speed buff. maybe shorten up their max range a tad to compensate.

    I wouldnt say that. One AA wount bring down a ESF, if the Pilot isnt a Suicide Rambo. To bring down a normal ESF Pilot you need at least 3 MAXes and some Luck as well.
    Only horrible Pilots dont dodge out under fire. Once a normal Pilot started to dodge, you barly have a change to hitt him again.

    I think the whole problem with air is pretty simple. Air units have way too much health period. Air units are fast,agile,powerful. They have way too much life for the power and speed they have. Air units in this game are basically flying tanks that are much harder to hit.

    ESFs aren't overpowered. Annoying: Hell yes. Overpowered: No.

    The problem is Liberators. They have too much HP, do too much damage and have too much ability to disengage.

    They need to start by fixing the damn flak bugs, and then change the liberator range to be less than the AA guns.

    Then, change the Zephyr do basically do 0 AV damage and the Dalton to have 0 splash.

    If someone in an esf wants to engage ANY sort of ground target, be it with rocket pods or main gun, he has to get so close, that if a dual aa max sees him and waits for it, it's a granted kill 100% of the time.

    The problem is, aa people, see things in the sky, they can't instakill them, and then say aa needs to be buffed. What they fail to realize is that said aircraft, sitting up there at the ceiling or in the distance, is either not playing OR minding its own business against other aircrafts and the likes. The very moment an esf tries to engage ground targets however, if the nearby dual aa max isn't lobotomized, the esf is going to die. Or limp away on fire with 5% armor, and die by the ever present chasing vultures.

    Its not about coming close, its about the Way some Pilots do this. If they Fly down in a straight Line and dont start to Dodge once they come under Fire, what you expect?

    Btw, Infantry dont have this long reaction Time, once they are hitted they are usualy Dead while the ESF can fly away and Reapir. I Think Air is doning well with this fly away and repair thing.

    Had some rank 31 NC Reaver pilot thinking he was some hot shot rocket podder, killing all infantry on the ground.
    Tried to do it to me while I was an engineer.

    Had half health as I went to an inventory station.
    He wanted to play easy kills and so did I.

    Switched to Vanu MAX with dual bursters as I hear him hovering over head waiting for me to come out for an easy kill.
    BLAM BLAM BLAM!
    Rocket pods me for the win.
    Notices it just ain't working.
    I fire back with dual bursters laughing my head off as he changes from confident to worry with afterburners on....but too late.

    Rank 31 NC ESF blown out of the sky along with his rocket pod kill streak.

    Good times.....good times.

    TR always have to deal with VS and NC double ganging, must be so boring to play a Empire that only attacks 1 empire. *cough(vs)cough*

    if you check TRs profiles, its normally 60%+ VS kills, and NC and VS have 60%+ TR kills on the charts.

    Its nice to counter VS ESF, because the have realy good Pilots. While its not realy benefiting in exp to play AA-MAX, it is realy cool to see the acrobatics the VS Pilots do. Iam alwas pleased by seeing them in the sky, dancing between all the Flakfire.

    I had a Reaver try to roadkill me while I was on the ground once. I've unloaded my underslung grenade launcher into his face, he panicked and crashed into the scenery XP

    just buy the other burster arm and quit complaining about air .

    seriously , do you need a written invitation to be invisible and invulnerable to the very thing you are so butt-hurt about.

    Don't like air? get killed by air? get mad and get even right now by spawning at your choice of 12 sundies conveniently placed in a complete 360 radius around the base you want to take and select AA max from the handy dandy terminal provided and **** about air.

    Keep saying air is balanced, untill you find yourself flying around alone.... then asking yourselves why you can't find anyone to kill.

    But by then you'll problably are playing your overpowered WoW character again in a new quest with Koala bears pets.
