AA problem: too much range, too little damage

    The problem with AA is how it is designed: as long range, low damage deterrent rather than short to mid range aircraft destroyer. As a result, ground based AA cannot kill aircraft except in larger numbers. Thus we see aircraft dominating small scale engagements. As further result, ground based AA gets relatively few certs and thus nobody wants to do it. That said, with Liberators having the range they do, AA also needs high range. Aircraft pilots also feel that AA is difficult to spot because of their high range.

    The situation can be drastically improved simply by reducing max range on aircraft weapons to about 200m, reducing max range of AA weapons to about 225m and making them quite dangerous to aircraft, just as aircraft weapons are deadly to ground units.

    These distances are arbitrary and are my best guess... All I know is that Liberators and bursters can fire from extremely long distances.
