A lot of new players all of a sudden (Emerald)

I noticed a lot of BR 1-10's camping the spawns. (I reverse spawncamped them with my battle rifle so I know their Battle rank)

Also today I noticed a queue at 1300 hours New York time. Never had that before.

That's it, thought it be interesting to mention we are having lots of new players. Or at least that's how I see it.

You must have missed the over the weekend drama.

Yes, new players, lots of them, all TR side.

It's gonna be a MESS for the TR for a while.

TR Emerald leadership is really gonna have to step it up to help lead these new pubbies and hopefully shape them into something good.
  3. Champagon

Wow look at that, the TR weren't entirely scared off like some people would have you believe
  4. Gammit

That would explain the army of TR on Indar yesterday.

Wow, New York Time seems messed up, here in Europe our days only have 24 hours

They've needed to step it up for a while. They've always felt like the least organized Emerald faction since I started playing there in earnest the last couple months.

I was on Hossin while the angry joe nonsense was filling up the warpgate for hours, and watched them basically tank the entire continent, and I just logged in frustration (I think before they even started playing for real.)

Granted, even before AJA was brewing, the hour or two beforehand was just typical TR Emerald failure: splitting their manpower evenly between two tech plants (each held by a different faction) and losing at both rather than committing to a single attack. A single player giving Orders would've helped, but nobody said anything.

TR Emerald isn't totally devoid of leadership (seen CommanderShepard make a lot of good calls) but it's really sparse and anemic.

    nono, you misunderstood that.
americans only have 12 hours in a day but a year has 730days. he is just one of the few americans who has seen sanity and uses a time system tgat makes sense.

What do you mean?? We have had the lock TONs the last week and 1/2. What more do you want?? Every time I played last week we had it. We also have it right now

While angry joe was on Hossin TR was on Easimer getting a lock

VS got it a few times on sunday though
  10. Prudentia

    oh i use it too.
i have a Windows Desktop program that allows to embed a dynamic clock into the background and it just looks futuristic with it's hhmmss format :D

Actually I play TR and I'm talking about the enemy players :)
  12. Captain Kid

If you are from Europe surely you are familiar with the 24 hour system, Not this confusing a.m, p.m stuff. :)

This better not have to do with the metric system.

I watched both streams and while one (Angry Joe in Hossin) was rather negative overall, the other (Cryaotic I think, in Indar) was pretty positive. Yeah, you might cringe at all the weapon locking and such that got in the way, but overall they seemed to be having fun, even in the chaos. So I would expect some new players around from that feed. Probably not too many from the Angry Joe feed, unless just to take some vengeance.

Honestly, if you don't have a good sense of humor about yourself, this entire game is just going to be a well of frustration.

I'm curious why it "feels" this way to you. I play both NC and TR on Emerald and it seems to me NC are the least organized. I'm not around for every alert, but TR seems to win them more than NC. The faction scoring page at PS2ALERTS.COM shows NC trailing far behind VS and TR on alert wins.

With your centilitres, millimetres and combine harvesters.
  17. KodiakX

    HAHAHAHA...
  18. Ronin Oni

Maybe the TR newbies from the weekend rerolled thinking that they'd dominate on the toher factions? lol

Probably just the anecdotal alerts and general continent strategy I've seen them employ, which has been ineffective or outright wrong. I'd certainly trust the objective data more than my limited anecdotal opinions, in terms of measuring the TR's true effectiveness, so if the site shows that then it's true and my anecdotal experiences are wrong.
